Romans Chapter 10
The Expression Bible

10:1 Brothers and sisters,
> I want you my family that is now in Christ, to hear what I am saying. I am a long way from where I began my journey, to know and understand God. I am not alone in this, but we are in this together and it would do us all well to know, who were the pioneers that Christ came thru to save us and how I personally feel about them.
my heart’s desire
> I am a passionate person and that which I feel strongly about, is something that I deal with and I don’t side step it in any way. When you have strong feelings as I do, you should also do as I do and confront them in the most powerful way possible. Don’t just worry about them, that will gain you nothing, you need to be proactive in your ways to see results, and there is only one way to approach this.
and prayer to God
> You have to let God know how you are feeling, because just as God converted us, only he can save them or deal with our situation. Our prayers should not be that of our last result, but the first assault on the devils hold on that which we care about. You need this understanding to be fruitful in Christ, because that is of more value to you then an old mans knowledge and understanding. Because if he has gained any wisdom from his age, he will tell you to pray first and then act when and only when God clears the way for you to proceed. Anything else is like the false labors of righteousness that my Jewish people have done, all to have it come to nothing with God. But prayers are like the first wave of a military campaign against the enemy, each prayer is like a bomb lobbing in and softening up the enemies defensive position. Then after a prayer assault, their defenses begin to collapse and they retreat in the face of Gods army.
on behalf
> So this I do, not for my benefit, for I am safe in the arms of Christ. But for them, that they may have a friend in high places, just as we have one in Christ. One who intercedes for them till they are redeemed and are able themselves, to dwell in the prayer life with us, that is my part and yours. For just as I have family, so do you, and that which I do, you must need do yourselves with me.
of my fellow countrymen
> For it is my family who produced me and fed me and taught me. So to them I am indebted to show love, I owe them this for having lived in them first. So they are able to find Christ my creator, who makes all that I have endured for them worthwhile, and this you are also should do.
is for their salvation.
> Because I want them to know the truth and find the same salvation that I have. They need my savior just as we do, and they need us on their side fighting for them in prayer. Just as we need time to make clarity of Gods plan to save us, they need the same love from us to produce it in them.

10:2 For I can testify
> I was not only a witness to what my people were doing, I was right there in the mix with them, I am all to familiar with that which they believe and think. So I want you to take me at my word, that the kind of people they were, was based on a fundamental belief system. That was extremely passionate and deliberate in every facet of their lives, they were a driven people concerning the law.
that they
> What they did do, was always premeditated and prescribed with much forethought, as to what it would produce. Just as does a expert cook, they precisely mixed together the ingredients that would finish the pie. In this case though, they themselves were what they were trying to make, that is, their own salvation.
are zealous for God,
> And so they lived their lives as a collective people, with one focus concerning the laws of God. And the conditions that they built around their lives, were built on these truths that God had given them. They burned with a passion, as though it was an addiction in their lives, to cement these statues into their lives, and it affected all their actions and thinking everyday.
but their zeal
> But their was a flaw in the recipe, in that, they had discarded and ingredient from the one who gave them this recipe. You see they were trying to mass produce the results in a mechanical environment, they left out grandams love so to speak, or in this case God. Because when grandmas cooked for you, you new she was doing it just for you and you felt her relationship with you, in every morsel that you ate. But their passion was not to make a desired person joyous, but to feed in mass only and not in relationship of pleasure, with the one they were feeding. They saw the cooking as a task of quantity, not individual relationship building to God, they figured if one Jewish person did good like King David or Moses, then they all got credit for it, wrong.
is not in line
> So it was in this process, that the people were dealt harshly, misconceiving the mercies of God. They did not perceive the truth of his loving desire, which was at the core of his desired blessing. To be to his people, a spiritual truth to guide them into his presence, where there, the truth would be a relief from sins struggles, not a task master of defeat.
with the truth.
> Because that which God wanted from his people, was for them to recognize their sins and seek forgiveness from them. But instead they tried to produce a righteousness in and of themselves, that would be acceptable to God as their sin offering. But it was not acceptable to God, because their righteous acts became as a false God of worship to them that they served. Instead of the true living God who gave them the law, so their actions would have been in line with him, as it was in times before. But they made a false image from Gods gift and worshiped the law as an image, instead of the God who created the image itself.

10:3 For ignoring
> This they did by pretending that they had no knowledge of any other way of salvation, according to Gods instructions. They were acting somewhat like a person wandering amidst a gathering of people and there was something that was in the room bothering them. But then acted and denied that it was bothering them when asked about it. When they knew along, that it was out of pride, that they choose to act like it wasn’t there or bothering them. Or like being to proud to admit that you need something when they ask you if you would like anything, you just say your fine, when you really do need something.
the righteousness
> They didn’t want to feel indebted to God, so they didn’t want to ask him to provide what they lacked, which was holiness. But to live they needed holiness, without it, they new that they would die. This they did not ignore, but they had no holiness to offer to God, their accounts were bankrupt.
that comes from God,
> Only God posses his holiness and only he can provide it, he is the only source of finding it and with out his help it is unattainable. You might just as well try and grow a tail by just thinking about it, you’re the wrong species and it just is not reasonable to think about it. But in just a frame of mind comparison as that, in a whimsical way of thinking, you need a tail to get into heaven on your own and you can’t fake it. Now that does not compare at all to what God requires for your forgiveness. But it might get you in the right frame of mind to consider your own lack of ability, to attain holiness, which is not of your nature to acquire it.
and seeking instead
> But what the Jewish people did was something along that line, God told them they were not Holy and needed to be made Holy. But they instead decided to do it on their own, without seeking God as the provider of their holiness. Now their wanting to be Holy is an admirable thing and the problem wasn’t that they wanted to be Holy, that was wrong. It was that God had already told them, that they did not have what it takes to attain his holiness, but they thru pride ignored his directive.
to establish
> They in their pride wanted power, and they wanted access too God to flow thru them too God. Not the way God wanted, which was for God to reach out too man thru them. So they decide to reverse what God had established as the only viable solution to mans sin and they decided to create man, as having the power of salvation, which is false.
their own righteousness,
> And from that position and false doctrine they set out to replace Gods holiness with their own order of righteousness. Based only partially on Gods directives and the rest upon their own intuition and moral code, and that is why it took the form of a false idol. Because in its formation it took the form of godliness, but denied the power of Gods holiness. By believing instead their own form of holiness to be a substitute for the real thing, and it was that, which they dedicated themselves to, not God. In this, they stood for a righteousness of their own, and if it did match Gods laws, they still took all the credit for it, not glorifying him for revealing it to them, they acted like they did it all on their own.
they did not submit
> They needed to acknowledge that they needed God to provide for them this holiness, but that would call for reliance on God and that is what they refused to do. In the same way when they wanted a king to rule over them in pass times and God told them that he was their king, but they rejected him and did not want to be his subjects and wanted a human king instead. This is what they did also in his provision of salvation, they wanted a human salvation, not a God given salvation, that would make them his subjects also. They in essence are still rejecting God as king, as they are rejecting Jesus as king, they are refusing to bend their knees in humility to God, as is his sovereign position over them.
to God’s righteousness.
> Because God holiness reveals mans sin, they did not want to see themselves in comparison to his righteousness. Which they new they could not become and which would have caused them to accept that which God is over them, by receiving his righteousness. Gods Holy character is so invading and such a prevailing influence as to who we are, that we cannot live for ourselves, if we are constantly exposed to his character. It alters our perspective to such a degree, that it alters our lives, and that at first can be painful and unsatisfying to the desires of our flesh. But in the long run, provides for us the peace of God, amidst the sinful ways of mankind. But for this to become true one must suffer the short term surgery, that Gods holiness performs in our life. It must first dissect that which we are, from that which God is conforming us to be. But they were unwilling to under go the scalpel of God and chose instead to attempt to heal themselves, which was futile all along.

10:4 For Christ
> That which represent what Christ did, is Christ, it is not a name, but a title to which he is entitled to take to himself. It represents the promise of God, the power of God, the human substance that God took, his holiness, his fullness and the list goes on and on. There is and essence to the meaning of Christ that lives in the name of Jesus, that tells the story of what God is doing with his creation. So the title "Christ", represents all that Jesus did past, present and future. So "Christ" in the representation of its meaning, is totality and completeness.
is the end
> This means that he has done something, that no one else was capable of doing, and that he did this on his own fully and completely. It was not a manifestation of man that empowered Jesus, but that of God, which demonstrates who God is. So when Jesus took to himself the effects of sin and judgement, he put a stop to that which it meant for man, as an absolute outcome of their sin. The progression of the laws trial against man, was dismissed due to who Jesus became as the "Christ" required, in every dimension of its meaning.
of the law,
> The law which then was established for man to fulfill for salvation to be available to them, has been done away with and replaced by what Christ did on the cross. So Christ not only fulfilled the requirements of the law to be sinless in they way he lived his life, but he satisfied the law on behalf of man, thru his death and resurrection. He satisfied that which the law demanded for mans punishment. So the law was put away because it was satisfied with the accomplishment of what Jesus did, and that made him entitled to be the Christ.
with the result
> And that had a consequence and was with effect, and that effect was in Gods relationship to man and how God was now able to view man, in the light of that fact that he still had a sin nature. God was able to now move from a position of separation from man due to his sin nature, to a position of reconciliation to man, thru Christ’s perfection in the law. This made God accessible to mankind, where before man was restricted to priestly intermediates, that could on occasion come before God with conditions, but now we are before God unconditionally and continuously.
that there is righteousness
> God then because of that made us available to his holiness, something that before we could not access or achieve. Holiness is foreign to us, in that our bodies are incapable of producing it. So God thru Christ is infusing us with his and thereby demonstrating to the world, his power over sin, that we might become witness of his glory to them. What was before forbidden to us due to our sin nature, is available to us, not in just bits and pieces, but in full measure God is bringing us into his presence, but not all at once.
for everyone
> And that in itself was capable of covering all of mankind for all of eternity, it lacked nothing and was complete in its power of salvation to mankind, but at the same time it was not available to everyone. God planned on saving only those that he choose to save based on his accreditation of them. God had a selective process to instill the power of belief upon those that were of his liking, not of their own merit. But as he saw fit to elect them, based on an information standard that we are not told, but as he determines.
who believes.
> So from that, God gave his righteousness to all those who believed in him thru the making alive of our Spirit which was dead. This he did as a result of the power of Christ to live thru us and call us by name into salvation. It is for those who thru the power of faith, that God has granted to them. Those that have put their belief and trust in Christ, as their only way of salvation, and so from that, they receive from God his righteousness to replace their sinfulness.

10:5 For Moses
> Moses clearly understood that which he meant and was trying to reach his people with the effects that the law would produce in mankind. Because God authored this message thru Moses, he gave him the insight to its meaning for mankind and the outcome for eternity.
writes about
> So the Old Testament describes this event and recorded it in the books for us to recall and consider in the light of Christ having fulfilled the law, to which Moses gave us. Moses spoke and taught as one teaching the purifying effect that the law brought to those who lived by faith in the law. Though the laws result was to reveal our hopeless sinful nature, it was purifying if adhered too, and that was still good, even if not attainable.
the righteousness
> So this holiness that Moses was teaching about was not one that came to us thru Christ and was bestowed upon us apart from our own efforts, this holiness that he is speaking of is an inherent one that anyone who could aspire too, if they had it in their own power to do so, they could attain from it, that which was available from it, namely, eternal life, as it was before the fall of man in the garden
that is by the law:
> Because this result would have came about as a result of the law, and in that it required absolute obedience to it, and because God honored and obeyed the law himself. He would also honor those who obeyed the law, and find no fault or guilt against the law in them. So obeying the law was good, though futile for the sinful nature of man.
"The one
> Here is the challenge as it is laid down by Moses, that any individual was entitled to try to live a perfect Holy life before God. The offer is being made to mankind by God and the parameters of sinless life are being specified, as to the effects and results of such an attempt. This also in itself deduces and implies the consequences of failing. Also the power and position of God is not laid aside in this involvement of man, in his own attempt to live a Holy life before God. If one should have succeeded in this, God would not have relinquished his throne in succession to the one who lived Holy. They simply put, would not have died thru condemnation of sin, that would have been their only reward for having succeeded in their passage before God and the testing would have never ended until they are dead.
who does
> This person who chose the law over grace, would then be fully subject to the effects of the law without mercy from God. They take upon themselves the responsibility of being their own source of strength, without reserves outside or beyond who they are. They have become the true captain of their soul, all shipwrecks withstanding, no one will come to their rescue. Come as they say, "Hell or high water", they’re in it on their own, they will create for themselves their destiny.
these things
> The results of the law will be evident all around them and invade every activity or thought that they have. There will be no down time a to when it is not in effect, no time clock that you punch out of and end your labors and rest from it, for the rest of the day. The time you sleep does not cause the law to sleep itself either, even your dreams are subject to the law and it consequences.
will live by them."
> So those who live under the law, must also live thru the law. They must perfect the law in every detail in their lives and never allow their life to fail under the law. It must represent their character and their character must represent the law. There can be no difference between them and the law, and no disagreement concerning them and the law. In doing this you would find perfect fellowship with God and the blessing that comes from living in perfection. There would be no guilt and your life would be a benefit to all others. That is what Moses is teaching here, that the law, when rendered perfectly, is redeeming in and of itself, if that were possible in our fallen state.

10:6 But
> Now that I have defined the works of the law, we need to look counter to that and see what God is able to do outside our conforming to the law. Which is impossible for us to do, we now need to define grace and the way it overcomes the law thru Christ.
the righteousness
> For this holiness that comes too us, not from us, is a separate holiness that is not of ourselves, it is another’s that we are able to claim as ours. But it did not originate from within us, but is granted to us by another, as an investment in us. Just as a lender empowers the borrower to purchase what he has no payment for, this Christ does for us, as in return for our belief in his ability to save us and that we confess that there is no other way for us to be saved, including adherence to the law.
that is by faith
> And the way we comply with that condition is thru faith, which is anticipation of what he is able to do and that he will do it for us, apart from that which our sinful flesh deserves.
says:
> So when faith responds to Christ, it does not look for a difficult solution in and of itself, that it may strain itself to resolve. It looks to that which is responsible for its existence, to respond according to its creation as to what it is. Faith is not a difficult thought or a strong resistance within you, but a basic release of control from you, too it.
"Do not say
> So this kind holiness, that is the result of faith, does question what it must do to seek the end of itself. It does not need an instructor to tell it what to do to become that which it already is. Once you have it, you are complete in all that it is able to provide, immediately upon being saved, there is no next step to saving faith.
in your heart,
> So it is a futile act from within you to seek something beyond that which you already have. Neither emotion, experience, piety or sacrifice is able to build upon that which came to you in faiths righteousness. The proof of its evidence is spiritual life, not a physically altered body or a manifestation, that is a result of an outward embodiment that appears altered.
Who will ascend
> So in what sense can we conclude, that it is logical, that it requires us to ask for more then what it is, that we’ve been doing in our original faith. We need not inquire of God, that we have not been fully instructed, as to that which he has already done thru Christ in us, our intercessor is already here.
into heaven?’"
> So there is no need for us to petition God concerning our salvation, by straining at the issue of salvation. You don’t need to create a problem where there is none concerning righteousness thru faith. The idea that we need to do something as extreme as exceeding our earthy bounds to face God in person, is an idea posing as an imposter to true religious response, to which we need not heed its call.

(that is,
> Because the question you are posing is one that suggest that God did not or could not finish the work that he requires done for our salvation. When it is not us who chose to be saved in the first place, but God thru Christ who chose to save mankind. Despite them being Hell bent on going to Hell in their sins, ignorant to the point of not even caring if God existed in the first place.
to bring Christ down)
> So it was God who came down and found us lost and ignorant, and sent Christ apart from what we new, did or understood about him and his righteousness. So that he took pity on us and chose to choose for us to be saved from our lost condition. Man had nothing to offer God in a discussion about the fate of man, that he would have listened and deliberated our fate in consultation with him. So that we could be sure that he got it right, the thought itself is an insult to God, that such thinking should be discarded from any ones thinking immediately.

10:7 or
> Then, in the same since of meaning, seeing as we had nothing to do with God arranging our ability to be saved, when it was he who provided Christ as our sacrifice in place of our own judgement. We need to bring our death into perspective, so that we do not fear that which will one day take us away from this life, and separate us from our bodies. Whereby we question, is he able to hold onto us in the afterlife.
"Who will descend
> By what effort then can a living man, who, if it were possible, first cross over to death, before death, so as to inquire, examine and consult on the conditions of their own fate in the hands of God. Thereby attempting to prepare ahead of time, what they think in their carnal thoughts, what might be lacking in the hands of God, after the fact of our having died.
into the abyss?"
> For us to first see the place of the afterlife and empower its existence, so that we do not remain in a state, that is separated from God. Is not a concern of mortal man, and to waste time worrying about that which is impossible for us to do, so that we once again try to convert ourselves thru the power of our fleshes thinking. Only reveals that we need to more closely monitor our fleshes intent, in what it tries to prompt us into thinking and doing.
(that is,
> Because what we state in our thinking in this manner, is once again us acting to bring into question, the full and complete power of God. That some how, even though he completed the work of our salvation, before we even knew how or when he was doing it(though it was all written about, but not recognized by man). Before we were even informed and brought into the picture in the first place, we now think ourselves worthy or our labors necessary to complete that which is already done.
to bring Christ up
> Because what we are saying in essence is, that even though Christ paid our penalty and took back his own life from the dead and secured his own resurrection. We now attempt to reason in ourselves, that we must first somehow secure our own resurrection and verify its security. So man in thinking himself necessary to accomplish this feat, once again, calls into question, that which God chose to do, even before our birth, let alone our death, when man even had no inclination of his own eternal existence.
from the dead).
> But now, we feel we must somehow be responsible for raising the dead thru the efforts of our flesh. That thru them we might somehow prompt God, to do what he has already done. That is, to have not only authority over the dead, but the intent to raise us up into everlasting life after our death, whereby we are making Christ rise and become our life in us and thru us. But to think this way, is to not have thought things thru with clear and focused mind upon the message of Christ and where this message currently resides. So that we falsely question, have we be instructed properly, do we still need to look for Gods answer, where the answer has been fully given in Christ.

10:8 But what does it say?
> What needs to be made clear here is what has already been stated, the scripture has already spoken out on this. So that is where we should seek our answers, don’t suppose that God was not prepared ahead of time for that which we would need to know.
"The word
> The voice of God has spoken concerning all that you will ever need to apply his truth to your life. It was recorded and written in books so that you could investigate its meaning and affect on your life and eternal destiny despite your finite existence. God has told you in advance what will come to be.
is near you,
> We do not need some new revelation to come down to us out of heaven, because that is not required, in that, it would only repeat what has already been said. So God is not going to deliver his message again, as Abraham said to the rich man in Hades concerning his still living brothers, "They have the prophets, if they will not listen to them, then they will not hear it even if someone rose from the dead to tell them".
in your mouth
> It is also preached among you at all times, you have spoken of it yourselves, so why be idle in your speech now, when you now the words already. You don’t need to receive another lesson, just believe what it is that you have been taught.
and in your heart"
> You also have your conscience which tells you, that these beliefs that we attain to are from God. You pray based on them, so you know them already, that which you have attained in faith, is your future, it is yours already.
(that is,
> So here is the application from what Moses said then, and what I am saying now, they are not different in meaning, we are simply viewing the same scripture from a different point in time. The message that we are justified thru faith is there, for Moses it was waiting for the Messiah to come. Where for us, we are looking back at the fished work of the cross.
the word
> Moses and I are intent on the same meaning out from the same scripture, we may apply it different now that we all have access to God as Moses did. Where in his time they knew God thru Moses and the law, we now know God heart to heart, from his Spirit that lives within us.
of faith
> Moses wanted you to anticipate and watch for God to act on your behalf and I am telling you that he has and will again in your future. That your anticipation of that event is what Gods is wanting you to live in and for. Not your temporary struggles or not being able to touch the future. But believe that it is God who set it in place, therefore it is assured.
that we preach),
> So that is the gospel of which we preach, that we are justified by faith, in that which is not of our doing. But put in place by Gods design to do it for everyone who believes in Jesus as the only Christ and their Lord.

10:9 because
> As a result of us then knowing how God structured our salvation in making it possible before we even new of its need. We can now proclaim the gospel and spell it out for anyone who is willing to hear it, and that it what we are doing.
if you confess
> If you can stand up in public and state you faith in him whom you have learned and trusted to be faithful. Not keeping it to yourself, but that you have been enlightened in what you have learned, taking a stand and making an alliance with God. That others know you are intent on this new lifestyle being the way you are identified.
with your mouth
> And you speak the truth to others of that which you have learned, in having a testimony concerning him who you have put your faith in. And how it was that you came about to know Jesus, and what you found in him, that prior to that knowledge of him, was absent from not just your life, but your eternal existence.
that Jesus is Lord
> So this is your statement of faith before man, that you have come to know and understand that this Jesus who was crucified on the cross, is also the Lord of all creation. That there is no other one who is Lord in his place or one who will ever come take away or replace his authority as Lord. That Jesus is the Messiah who was predicted to come and be the Christ, that took away the sinful judgement coming on man, to himself, to free us to gain eternal life thru him.
and believe
> And in knowing now who Jesus is, that if we believe thru faith, in that which we did not see or hear happen. But that Gods word was and is always truthful to us, concerning his choosing to save mankind from sin, thru a system of belief in Jesus. That is demonstrated by way of that confession of him, thru your voicing it to those who know you.
in your heart
> And this belief goes much deeper then just going along with a public procession thru the streets, so that you are doing more then just following the crowd. As many actually did when Jesus was here in the years of his ministry, before his death on the cross. You are not just going along with a movement while it is good for you and popular, but that it is an internal change of belief, that alters the way of both your eternal existence with God in your continuing relationship with him. But also your outlook in your continuing existence, as you live your life on earth before mankind. Because what you are believing in is a supernatural event, that has already accrued before you even new of your need for it.
that God raised
> And that event is this, that God has power over death, and when God restores life, it is a full and complete restoration, that does not need repeating. That his restoration of Jesus life in particular, is going before you and anyone who professes Jesus as Lord. He prepares for them their resurrection and restores with them on a permanent basis, the fellowship that God desires with all those he has chosen to save.
him from the dead,
> So Jesus who died once, is now once again alive forever more, and death will never again approach him to take away his life. Nor is it possible that such an event would occur, nor is it necessary for him to make any further sacrifice to accomplish that which he completed in full, with his death and resurrection. His words "it is finish" was the period at the end of a sentence, of all that it took to save mankind from their sins, and his resurrection, was life eternal for him and all that trust in him.
you will be saved.
> Then you will have been permanently altered from your current state, and your new state will be one of eternal existence before God with unbroken fellowship relationship with him and it will not be interfered with by those efforts of the devil to destroy you, your condemnation that was once judging you, is no longer a valid claim before God and you are now free from the death sentence of your sins

10:10 For with
> There is a method to what God is requiring you to do, with this stance of faith. God knows his creation and how to separate the party goers, from the party makers. He knows how to find the true intent of those in attendance, he knows how to find those who will slip out the backdoor when it is time to clean up the mess and the ones who are their for the friendship of the one who threw the party. God is seeking those who want the true meaning of fellowship, which is contributing to that which they have become a part of.
the heart
> So that is why we must have a heart that does not roam around from Religious ideas to Religious ideas. But one that sets his heart to the true God and settles their present and future existence, into a hope that ones heart aspires too. This making of a commitment, just as in the way one spouse makes to another, determining to be one with them. So as to alter their passions to dedication of that other soul, leaving aside all others, for the love of one forever.
one believes
> You do this as a matter of the heart, not an exercise of appeasement, where you satisfy his anger by some worthy act toward God. But a dedication of devotion that exist internally, it is the awareness of who you are encountering and what he has graciously done for you. That moves your heart to commit yourself to him, not just for the moment, but with eternity in mind. As your depth perception of time has been altered from a finite-temporary, too an infinite-eternal. You no longer see things just from the perspective of what happens in your life on earth, but as to how it relates instead to the real future you have in the eternal.
and thus
> And as a result of that, God empowers you with himself. Not that you become something in the flesh, that is something in itself, but that God does something for you that is not available from or in your flesh. It has an outward affect, to your inward condition.
has righteousness
> What that is specifically, is that he assigns you the status of being Holy before him. This is a position though that exist outside your flesh, it is not a personal attribute that is contained in you, as a result of yourself being Holy. But a state of holiness, that is attributed to you as a state before God, and his Holy Spirit that comes to dwell within you, and a new Spirit that he makes alive in you, that was before dead. But these are assigned positions, not merited acquisitions, you did not take control of this status, it was given to you thru humility of heart, that you came before God a sinner, repenting.
and with the mouth
> As is with our voice, we testify to it being true, that, that which we have believed upon in our heart, is voiced openly to others. So that you become a witness to others that you have put your eternal fate and trust into the hands of the eternal Father. You must side with the Father in the war of good and evil, and take a stand along side him. You put on his uniform of faith, so that others may identify you one sight, so to speak.
one confesses
> This one does by going against the court of public opinion and calling Jesus Lord of all, that he is Lord, over even those who will not claim him as their Lord. That their denial has no status or effect on his total and complete position as Lord. Your proclaiming Jesus is Lord, is done in an audible manner, before others and should be done in the ceremonial event of Baptism. Where one makes the public profession that Jesus is Lord of their life, and then they are Baptized, as a witness to their joining Christ symbolically, in his death, burial and resurrection to eternal life.
and thus has salvation.
> Then having done this, one can profess eternal salvation, as having been given from that of the Father, thru the son. They are now part of Gods eternal kingdom from that moment on, there is no more rejection any longer in Gods heart toward you and all sins are forgiven and Heaven will become you eternal home with God.

10:11 For
> There is reinforcement to this also, this is not a weak dream that someone has wished might happen to us, this is real in every aspect of what is and will take place for generations to come, Gods promise and word is what is behind this and there is no stronger backing, that a process can have then our very God himself.
the scripture says,
> The promise has already been given and is now being fulfilled in the lives of those whom claim God as God, and renounce all other illegitimate lords as lesser than Jesus our true Lord.
"Everyone
> This is a broad promise, that excludes no one based on their ethnicity or former religious beliefs. What they were is not relevant to God concerning salvation, neither is whether they were by society standards, called a good moral person or someone steeped in the desire to do evil. God is not seeking applicants who are pre-qualified for the job. For this position must be filled only by the unqualified, the unworthy, your best is not what he is seeking for salvation, your willingness to be his child, is. A good credit rating, is not required with God concerning salvation, it is not part of his screening process.
who believes
> And everyone who becomes his child, must do so in the exact same manner, there is not a different test for each person based on their education level or pre-instruction from a religious background. There is no need to be a precise scholar or a poet of whimsical ideas, practical analyst or a phony. Everyone must pass thru the same entrance with the same right to access and the same credentials. There is neither alienation or pre-acceptance for anyone who believes in Jesus as Lord, all faith is child like, no substitutions or exceptions allowed.
in him
> Every possible contingency has been dealt with by him, that is why the former person is not relevant to your current and future part in Jesus. What was in the past has been washed away and is no longer there. So God begins your life over from that point on, and all of that comes forth from that point on is thru him. For you to allow his work to flow thru you for his glory, before you lived upon the land without foundation for what you did. But now Christ is your living foundation, that all your life is resting upon. So all that you need to do now is to labor for that which he gives you, to build upon that foundation, not as a course to salvation, but a result of it.
will not
> With this in place, your stand will be solid, your position in heaven secure and nothing will come against you, that can destroy what it is that God has given you to labor in. God has made it so that there will be no withdraw from what he is doing thru you, there is only one way home to heaven and that is forward, and though your flesh may want to relive the past. Because that is the only place and that is the only way it can thrive in your future. God has done away with it, so that you can move forward and leave it behind.
be put to shame."
> As you do this, all things become possible that were before unattainable to you, God never disappoints those who are seeking his glory first. Because God glorifies himself in the face of man, so that he can be seen glorious before all creation. God is always on message, and for God, his glory is that message. Which is mindless thinking to the unsaved, but life eternal for those who seek his glory, as the only hope of salvation.

10:12 For
> As I add to this thought in reminding you what it is, that I have taught you already, about how God looks down at mankind and sees all people the same, let me reemphasize that point once again. Because the premise of this, is understanding relationships, both, what they are, and what they are not.
there is no distinction
> When it comes to nationality, race or religion, there is neither advantage or disadvantage with any of these. They are one and the same to God, just as God does not view us different, whether we are dead or alive in the flesh. Because there is no death in us from his perspective, nothing has changed from his ability or his access to us, our status, whether alive or dead remains the same before God. So also does our nationality have no effect on his dealings with us, these things are illusions that we create ourselves, in Gods eyes, we’re all alike. Only the promises he makes to certain people, are interrupted to be unique by those who follow after them.
between the Jew
> When God deals differently with the Jews, it is because he made a promise to their forefathers, because of a personal relationship he had we Abraham. So they are blessed or punished based on Gods love for Abraham, not because God looks on them as superior humans, but because of Abraham, it that he was given a promise.
and the Greek,
> This does in no why put the non-Jews at a disadvantage, in their position or desire of Gods heart to save mankind from their sins. God wants just as much to effect the hearts of both the Jew and the non-Jew alike.
for the same Lord
> God only provided one savior, thru which man could be saved, therefore it is the savior who is lifted up in the eyes of God, as being greater then all other men. Those who come to Christ are the same rank, that being sinners, no matter their heritage, and Christ is not altered for one over another. He also does not divide one to his left side and the other to his right, they are all mingled together, this is an interracial marriage.
is Lord of all,
> Neither does he divide his attention to one sect over another, that which he is, over encompasses all that is his in one accord. There is no separate but equal clause or unequal but united religion at work here. He is not just Lord over those he saved, but also Lord over the judgment of them that rejected him on earth, their eternal judgment is enforced by him also.
who richly
> The wealth of Christ is immeasurable, because he creates all that is, so it is his desire shower you with these pleasures. He wants you to live in the vastness of his glory and receive from him all that he desires to give you.
blesses all
> No one is shutout from the blessing that God has in store for his own people. Each and every person is unique in the place of his creation and he has a special blessing and ministry set aside for each individual. That is what God wants with his children, a unique relationship, one on one with Christ.
who call on him.
> The only basis for receiving this blessing from God is to call him and make him the Lord of your life. The rest he has planned out for you, so that he will lovingly bring you into his presence and minister to others thru you.

10:13 For
> This has been promised to us before in the scripture and it demonstrates once again that God does not show favoritism. But responds to faith in every instance, just as the devil responds to our fears to weaken and destroy us, God responds to faith to strengthen and renew us in.
everyone
> No one is left out, God is prepared to redeem all peoples, there is no partiality in Gods heart for one people over another, God does not look at their skin or heritage, but their heart to see if it is true.
who calls
> Those who voice their desire to know God and seek forgiveness of sins, are the ones who God hears and responds to. It is the sound of their voice that he hears, not the words, which may be lacking. It’s the true desire of wanting him to be in their life, it need not be dramatic, though for some it might, but it needs to be a true act, and not a false motive or pretense of sincerity for postures sake.
on the name
> There is only one name that these people may call on to rescue them from their sins, because there is only person that intercedes with us before God. So to seek God in person, one must address him thru his son Jesus. You can not approach God without a mediator to offer you admission to his presence, because God does not regard us as Holy in his presence, unless we come to him thru Christ.
of the Lord
> He is the one true creator of mankind and recognition of this is imperative to anyone who seeks to believe. Having full understanding of how he is able to do all that he does, is not required. God is not seeking those full of knowledge already, but those who are seeking the truth as it is. Not as those who look to mankind for proof, but those who look to God who established life itself, and are willing to yield to Gods wisdom, as being greater then our ability to define it.
will be saved.
> Then those who desire to do this, God reaches out to them and takes them in under his protective custody, he takes them as prisoners of love, and away from being prisoners of sin. He demonstrates in their lives that he is alive in them by retraining their thoughts away from the practices of evil and into providers of his glory and mercy, to which mankind may be a witness to and gain eternal life also.

10:14 How
> What is the method for unbelievers to believe, can it be accidental, coincidental or must it be intentional on their part. Must they first seek or must they first be found, this is a legitimate thought for us to undertake. Because what if we find ourselves culpable in others eternal condition, are we at fault for not finding them, or are they at fault for not seeking us.
are they to call
> Where do we draw the line, so far as that which we are able to do and that which they need to do. For it is needful for them to ask for salvation in their own words, expressing their desire for God in their own hearts, but they still need to know what to ask for.
on one
> If there is a savior, then they have to know about him to find him, else he would be in a state of camouflage to them. They would pass by him and not now to respond to him, because they did not perceive him as their savior, in that the scripture says, that no one seeks God.
they have not
> Their current state is one of ignorance, this is due to not knowing what it is that God has said to do. It doesn’t mean that they will reject Christ, they simply do not know that he has been sent. Their minds are not conscious of the fact that they must respond to Gods call to them.
believed in?
> So they do not believe in the one, whom they have not been told has been sent. But that is very serious, they remain guilty despite their ignorance of the savior.
And how are they
> So if they don’t know that there is someone to call upon, that will intervene for them and turn their lives around and make them into eternal children of God. In what manner do they think in order to respond, are you giving them rational thoughts of the truth or are you leaving them to just guess at eternal life.
to believe in one
> Don’t they need faith just like you, so they can trust him to take them in from their lost condition and give them a home to belong too. How can they commit their lives to that which they do not know exist.
they have not heard of?
> It is ever so clear, that this must be the first step for them to have faith, that it is first necessary for them to hear the good news of Christ coming to save mankind, just as you have.
And how are they
> So this point I am making is getting clearer and clearer as I speak it to you, I really am breaking this whole thing down into bite size portions. So that you understand that God works through his people and that your role is crucial in the salvation of everyone that comes to Christ. Yes it is Christ who saves, but who is going to tell them, you are, that is what God wants you to do.
to hear
> It is our mission to be a voice, a people who speak not only with words, but action, we must become that which speaks of Gods glory and his salvation. So that their ears can hear and their hearts can consider the call of Gods salvation.
without someone
> Who is going to take your place, how and why should another preach the gospel that you have received, didn’t someone tell you, so then shouldn’t you tell others.
preaching to them?
> It is God intention that we speak of his gospel message to all nations and to as many individuals as possible in your life time. So that they can know who to call on and whom to believe in, God will do the saving, you just convey the message.

10:15 And how
> To this then we must ask ourselves, what is the method and structure that God has made to enable this process, to move forward thru mankind.
are they to preach
> If it is true that man is the principle method, by which other men when come to know of Christ offering of salvation to mankind. In that we are to verbally speak of Christ having redeemed us and his desire to redeem them also. That means that we must also plan to do so intentionally.
unless they are sent?
> Then they must first have authority to do so, in that sense what I mean is. If we were to tell someone that Christ was there for them and they went to Christ only to be rejected. We would have lied and misrepresented Christ intention and discredit the entire gospel message. So that is important for us to establish, that if Christ sends us and that he has indeed sent us. So that we know that he is preparing to receive others also, because without instruction to back us up, we lack power to fulfill the mission. But God gives us resources to see it thru and the authenticity is evident in it. So that others see the gospel as being authentic and not a fraudulent religion of man, as are thru out the world, in which they lack the power of Spirit, truth and God to verify it in them.
As it is written,
> Here again, this is not some new concept that I have invented to spur you on for my own cause. It is an established intent of God to move thru his people, to draw other peoples toward him. That we labor and have a apart in each others salvation, God intends for us to have a stake in our destiny in him, we have a roll in his future.
"How timely
> So that which God is sending you to do is not accidental or coincidental that you are where you are. He has a mission of reaching others thru you, not in mass appeal for most of you, but individual acquaintances, one to another, God is helping you find one another.
is the arrival
> God is going before you, so that when you share you message of Christ with them, he is setting the scene internally and externally for them to know him personally. You may be the first bit player in the process of their salvation or the last player that leads them to Christ. But your being their was vital to the process and a clear distinction in the mind of God to place you there at that time.
of those
> So those who take it upon themselves to be minister of God and share the good news of Christ message, are in partnership with God. He has aligned himself with you, so that he enables you to bring others to Christ.
who proclaim
> He also wants us to go out into the streets and let others now of Christ victory over death and his pardon of sin. We are to cry out with it, if necessary, over the noise of life that would drown out the sound of salvation. We must turn peoples attention away from their daily cares and pursuits, so that they can hear the message of Christ. Satan is shouting out his call to death, and if need be, we must shout even louder. We do not need to be belligerent, but persistent in getting the message thru to others.
the good news."
> Christ is our good news to mankind, in that he made the way for sinful man to be reunited to a Holy God. That is the message we must take to the streets and the hearts and minds of the people.

10:16 But
> At the same time, don’t be disheartened if many reject the message. That is the result of sin in them and many will refuse what it is you are saying. But don’t take it personal, it is Christ they are rejecting and he can handle their rejection. So just lay their pier pressure on Christ and let it flow thru you to him. Don’t let their criticisms build up on your conscience, so that you feel intimidated by them and lose your zeal for getting the message out. Even if they make personal attacks on you, it is still due to Christ message that they are reacting.
not all
> There are many who are not willing to turn to Christ, some may be true servants of satan, will others only serve themselves, thinking they are sufficient in themselves to stand before God and debate their own merits. But they will be speechless one day though, when they finally realize that they were deceived in their own sins and are guilty without a savior to redeem them.
have obeyed
> Many take God to be an option, but they will find out when it is to late that they were the option, and God choose not to save them, due to their own arrogance and disbelief. It is they who are unnecessary in the kingdom of God which is eternal, because they saw God as unnecessary in the kingdom of man, which was only temporal.
the good news,
> Christ is our good news to mankind, in that he made the way for sinful man to be reunited to a Holy God. That is the message we must take to the streets and win the hearts and minds of the people.
for Isaiah says,
> This is taught to us thru the prophet Isaiah, he spoke on this very same subject long ago and it is as true now as it was back then, when he encountered it among the Jewish people of his time.
"Lord,
> In his frustration in proclaiming the message of the coming Messiah, Isaiah cried out to God and sought an audience before him, due to the fact that the message of Christ was being rejected in mass by those whom the word of God was coming to. Because they had developed a false image in their minds, as to what role God should play in their lives. They rejected the true acts of the coming Messiah as a suffering and lowly state, that Christ would call others to follow.
who has believed
> Because they did not want to be a part of this less prominent role, but wanted to be preeminent in their status in society. They refused to believe in the message that was going to come to them and this was a mass rejection. So just because the pier pressure goes in another direction, true followers need to stay on message and not be side tracked with false ideals.
our report?"
> Because as stated before, it is the message that they are rejecting. Their war is with the truth of God, because they do not wish to bow their knee to his authority and to the necessities, that he must first suffer the sins of man as a servant to man, in order to reign as king over mankind. These people are also not willing to go thru the sorrow of repentance in the present, to gain the joys of eternity in Christ in the future. So they deny the witness and the message, so that they can reap the pleasure of the present, at the expense of the joys of their future. They prefer the lie, to the truth.

10:17 Consequently
> As a direct result of this argument then, we can accurately conclude the necessity of the message. Because one needs to hear the truth to both accept or reject it, which in the end cause them to either align themselves with the message or against it, and that God does thru the church. So that they can take part in the ministry of Christ, which is his desire to have fellowship or contribute with. So God brings his message to humans, thru normal everyday humans. Isn’t that boring to those who want the focus on their superiority, which causes them to reject Christ.
faith
> So the power to trust in Christ begins with the message, not a circumstance, an emotion or a manifestation of a miracle. But the truth as told to them by messengers, if they receive the exuberance or the miracle, but reject the message that is Christ, it benefits them nothing. They are as those disciples who only followed after Christ for the free lunch, but when Christ gave them the hard realties of his message, they ceased to follow him.
comes from
> So to produce faith in others, we must first produce the testimony of Christ in us. Then we, as witnesses of his mercy and forgiveness in us, can take that message to others. So we become carriers of the good news of Christ, and this becomes as to others, an antidote or inoculation against the destructive powers of sin in their lives. So where sin is a deadly virus, the blood we carry with us, which is Christ blood, transfuses thru us into them, by way of our message and transforms those who receive it into transferees themselves and the cure for sin is made available by contact, with the message and spreads out into the population.
what is heard,
> So by hearing the message, their hearts either grow and produce the saving faith that restores them to God, or they are rejected of God, due to their rejection of the message and the infusion of his mercy, that he offered them in the message, which we are now a part of.
and what is heard
> And so the whole package of what God is doing, is contained in the message. It all comes down in the face of man as hearing and receiving, so he either accepts the truth as it is and says ok to the Lord or rejects it, as they see fit to live according to their desires.
comes through
> And what is heard, is what is living in the hearts of those who do believe and what they have chosen to do with it. If they remain silent, no one hears, but if they proclaim it consistently and boldly, then they become part and parcel of that message themselves. They are partakers of newly redeemed people, that they have brought to Christ. They have the reward of accomplishment, nothing more is needed to make them know their purpose, they have arrived at their destination.
the preached word
> Because they are sent, God is sending them into community, so that thru them speaking out in the middle of disbelief and ignorance of his truth, they might hear the message and believe on the one in whom the message is proclaiming. The wicked in intent are no better off for having heard the word, but the repented are led to a new beginning that before was elusive to them.
of Christ.
> And that message is Christ crucified, died for our sins and resurrected into eternal life. Where he now redeems all those who hear the message and receive it with lowly hearts in the present, so that they will be lifted up in the presence of Christ with him, in the future.

10:18 But I ask,
> So the question remains, is it possible for them to hear the message in spite of the fierce resistance to it and if hey heard, did they listen, think historically and the question will answer itself.
have they not heard?
> Has this message been spoken of before, in fact has it not been touted by an entire people, as that which God is doing among men, and what was their response to it. Didn’t God try to get them to actually live the message, to be a people that led all other nations to him.
Yes,
> Well ask yourself, what have I been quoting all this time, it is the spoken word written in scripture. So we are not spouting some strange new religion, just revealing that it is there.
they have:
> So nothing is out of place here, all the information that is necessary for people to come to Christ, whether Jew or Gentile is contained in scripture and has been read allowed for generations. So if you cared to find the truth, the echo’s of it went out from the Jews and spread to all the Gentiles also.
Their voice
> It was a pitched sound, that when came in contact with the hearing of the willing, was designed to resonate in their hearts, as ones having come upon the truth of God and those who rejected it, also rejected it for the same reason. But because their hearts were unwilling, God rejected them and hardened them from receiving his truth.
has gone out
> The distinct sound of God then went out from among the people into all lands. God did not hide the truth from public view, but caused it to be heard and to spread out. Either as rumors, as the God of Israel established them as a nation or visitors taking the truth back home with them, after they visited the Jews to do trade. In some cases, it was thru the witness of war with the Jews, here no army could stand against them.
to all the earth,
> To every land or tribe, God made himself known to them, either thru prophets or thru teachers, God is not idle with his word. God saw to it that them fame of his people went out to the earth, to proclaim his glory.
and their words
> Because God had them write it down and gave direct commands, as to the finding of true faith in him. He described to them what the Spirit of God was and is like to this very day, all who encounter it, know it as Gods Spirit.
to the ends
> And this was not a one time act, but a continuing event in every generation that came alive. They to must recognize and respond to his word, some to life and others to death, but all must respond to it.
of the world.
> God is reaching everyone in the whole world, one individual at a time. There will be no one who has not come in contact with the word of God, in one form or another.

10:19 But
> So that there can be no dispute as to what I am saying here, I will elaborate and produce even more evidence of this.
again I ask,
> So I repeat the same question as to when this truth became known.
didn’t Israel understand?
> And were not the people of Israel adequately informed, as to what God would do if they rejected his word, did he or did not tell them that they had a responsibility to his word and in their obedience to it.

First Moses says,
> My first reference is Moses himself, who restored the Jews and gave them the law to follow.
"I will make
> God is going to instigate trouble in your hearts and get your attention one way or another, he is not giving you an option concerning his word. God is going to demand a response from the Jewish people because they have closed the door of access to God to outsiders of the Jewish people. They made themselves special, instead of the God whom they served.
you jealous
> He will take away your security in him, by making a foreign people more secure then you. You will see his blessing on them and burn with envy because you will no longer feel protected or special to him, and it will be true. Because you made yourselves special in your own eyes, God will let you stand on your own and you will fall because of that.
by those
> There are people in this world who due not have a clue, as to their own creation and the love that God has for his creation. And to those people who were not brought up in the word, the word will become clear and received willing among them as a result of Gods anger with the Jews attitude.
who are not
> These are people who are void of identity, they have no cause for which they are subject to stand for. They have no history with God to call their right of occupation over, they are basically unheard of in the world, so far as being a people of renown.
a nation;
> But that will end and they will be a people of a heavenly nation, they will not call earth their home or have their allegiance to a nation that is of God. As is the nation of Israel, that was called out as a people from the earth to live and occupy a land in the name of God.
with a senseless nation
> These will be a people who have no moral code, that came to them from God in the form of commandments written directly to them from God. They are without prophets and teachers as was Israel. But that will be of no consequence to God in his dealings with them, because he will make them a people who are not related by flesh and blood, but thru the Spirit of Christ.
I will provoke
> And because they the Jews, have rejected Christ, I have rejected them and they are outraged that I would do such a thing. But they had it coming to them, they had their chance to be the people of God and represent me, but chose to be a people unto themselves instead of me.
you to anger."
> So now, all you have left is your anger and your lineage has been cut off from its root and you will wither and die, except for a faithful remnant, you will be ineffective in your willingness to be a people of God.

10:20 And Isaiah
> On a second occasion Isaiah the prophet was warning Israel and told them that they too would be rejected, because they were unwilling to yield their lives to Gods authority.
is even bold enough to say,
> And when he spoke to them in this warning, he did not hesitate to proclaim it loudly before all Israel. He made sure that his voice rose above their commotion of life so that they were stooped in their tracks and heard the warning. That way that could never say that no one warned them or that they did not know. Isaiah wanted to make it clear to them, that he was aligned with God no matter what they chose to do. Even if they killed him, as they did the prophets warning of doom.
"I was found by those
> The world is full of non-Jewish people with out any knowledge of God and his way of salvation. But when they hear the news that salvation has come to all mankind, they will ask questions and find the answer in Christ. Where as the Jews rejected Christ, they will accept him as Lord in their life and pursue that relationship with the Father openly before the world. Instead of salvation coming by way of the Jewish people only, it will available to no one nation in particular, but to anyone, of any nation.
who did not seek me;
> These were not looking for a coming Messiah and were not intelligent in the idea that one should be obedient to the creator of our world and worship only him as God. They had no historical precedent to show them the right way from childhood, as did the Jews.
I became well known
> As a result of this, they studied my teachings and taught all that came to repentance in Christ what holiness means, and how to make their lives familiar to God and Gods ways familiar to them in everyday practices. They became the experts in Gods word out of desire, where there was once a vacuum of insight to the ways of God, his Spirit rushed in and filled them with himself, filling the void with his presence.
to those
> It was these people then that God established his outreach to mankind thru, though they had no homeland from which to launch this from. They were in one accord due to their relinquishing control to the Spirit of God, and all tuning their desires to that same pitched voice, that the Spirit that was alive in them was calling them to do.
who did not ask for me."
> They had never sought a savior, nor did they cry out for deliverance as did the Jews. But God delivered them just the same, he accepted them as a diverse people without a heritage and gave them his heritage where there was none. They were not looking, but God appeared before them and they responded openly to his call to be saved and became the people that the Jews had refused to become.

10:21 But
> Then the last point of reference I want to point out is this, that God himself assaulted the character of Israel. He rebuked them in anger for who they had become, in light of what he had given them.
about Israel he says,
> And this is what God said about them concerning his attempts to turn them away from his judgement and rejection, and to take their repentance in its place.
"All day long
> I was a long suffering God in your presence, I labored with you to bring you to your knees in repentance. I didn’t just try one time to convince you, that what I would do to you was eminent, but I repeatedly warned you of what I would do.
I held out my hands
> I implored you to come and take refuge in my forgiveness thru your repentance, I stood in your path, so that you could not avoid me. I offered you security in my house and tried to convince you, that you were desolate and a dying nation.
to this disobedient
> But you would have none of it, instead you chose to be rebellious in all your ways and you continued in that attitude everyday of your life. You wouldn’t even stop to consider your sins effect on our relationship, you didn’t just take me for granted, you just plain did not care.
and stubborn people!"
> You resisted me at every turn, not matter how I coached you to engage me in a relationship of respect for me and my holiness. You would have none of it, you hated the thought of me and wanted nothing to do with my laws.
