Romans Chapter 3
The Expression Bible

3:1 Therefore
> Because of what I just taught you, let’s examine what it means, as to whether or not there is any meaning at all in being Jewish or in sustaining their rituals.
what advantage
> If as stated just before, that the non-Jew, who has the same faith in God as the Jew, are equal in the eyes of God. If then that is the case, some would ask if there is any merit in being a Jew. Should the Jewish believer look at himself in all respects, in the same light as does a non-Jew. What is then the incentive to remain a member of the Jewish community, so as religious ideology is concerned. Is there any rationale to still identifying oneself as a Jew, and to what end should this be a driving force or impetus to them.
does the Jew have,
> Is there then any reason to be Jewish, is there any reason for you to practice your Jewish traditions, or even being more direct and to the point, has God forsaken the Jews. Has the Jewish nation become irrelevant to God as result of Christ redemption of all mankind, Jew and non-Jew alike.
or what is the value
> And in the same vein of thought then, we have to look at the Jewish rituals to see if there is any benefit to still practicing them if you are Jewish. After all, we do not want to encourage rituals, if the meaning in them is now irrelevant to God or man.
of circumcision?
> So more specific to what we are discussing here, should I still perform the ritual of cutting away the foreskin from the male penis, as a symbol of faith, that is performed in the children. Are these just the remnants of vanity, things you’re doing without any meaning in the Jewish culture or is their something that can still be gained from it, that should cause us to adhere to its practice.

3:2 Actually,
> Quite the contrary to what you might expect me to say on this, after having said that Gods is looking merely to mans heart in these matters and not just their actions, don’t throw out the baby with the bath water. The idea and meaning behind them is still as relevant as it always was.
there are many advantages.
> The benefits of God are still there to be gained in the promises of God, you now have the full picture, of why it is your are Jewish and how to establish it in the true righteousness of God. What you did before, you out of obedience and without the full understanding of what it all meant in the future of events. But now you see clearly the meaning of it all and that it was not a meaningless lifestyle, but was right all along.
First of all,
> The main and primary thing to point out in this, is that the position of being Jewish, always had merit and meaning, and always will. God is not planning on eliminating the Jews thru salvation’s plan, but fulfilling their eventual destiny thru himself.
the Jews were entrusted
> It was the physical descendant of Abraham that were put in charge and were delegated as guardians to the stories of Gods coming events in life. God saw to it that thru them, the history of the success and failure of the forefathers were recorded and kept for safe keeping.
with the oracles of God.
> It was the Jews to whom God gave the laws and scripture too, that they could be recorded and written down, and that they should take up the duty and privilege of them being placed in their confidence. To care for them so other generations would have them and that Gods glory would be revealed also to man by them.

3:3 What then?
> So how do we define this, is there something in this that we do not see, something that has been pressed out of alignment to the truth or twisted into something that is evil.
If some
> Does it matter that some in the Jewish nation don’t care about his word or God himself, that they want nothing to do with him. Is the course that God sets in motion, dependant on what the unfaithful do or what the faithful do. That is much more the primary question that we need to look at, when is God responding to the faithful, do the unfaithful, throw a wrench into those plans.
did not believe,
> So when some in their actions deny the power of God, and separate themselves from obedience to scripture. Even becoming traitors to Gods word, defaming him not just in irrelevance, but fighting against his laws to try to do away with them. In doing this as Jews, is that significant to Gods plan for them, is it the unraveling of Gods provision to the faithful.
does their unbelief
> What is the result of this unfaithfulness, as to what God himself has determined to do before creation itself. If God chose to establish himself in the nation of Israel, how do the actions of those who do not want this affiliation, interfere with Gods overall plan, was he counting on them and now has to start all over.
nullify
> Is this the end, in respect that the Jewish nation is now in all manners of relevancy, done away with for future generations to take note of them, or should they consider themselves any longer as being on a mission from God.
the faithfulness of God?
> And is this in any way grounds for dismissal, as to the righteousness of God and his glory before all creation. Is God now suffering from a disability that shows him lacking in ability to finish the work he started, as concerning his agreement with them, and therefore proves him unreliable to do what he declares.

3:4 Absolutely not!
> Without a doubt, is there no correlation between their reliability and Gods reliability, were talking about two different elements of the space and time continuum. God does not exist at their expense, it is we who are dependant on his providence, lets not forget, he almost did away with us in the flood. So what God choose to do and see thru, is not thwarted by the ignorance of man, but rather on his own power to act outside of their ignorance.

Much of their disbelief came thousands of years after the flood, yet human life was still maintained by the hand of God, knowing full well that their disbelief would happen. In addition to that, there then came the promise to Abraham, even more, many years after Abraham, till the time of Moses did God sustain them. All of his promises to sustain man that was made, happened before the law was even given to us. So do their actions make God undependable because they became vagrants in the house of God. Gods promise was not based on mans obedience to the law, which was not even in existence when he told Abraham to rely on him. So this has nothing to do with mans adherence to the law, but the absolute faithfulness of Gods promise.
Let God
> So do not throw God in with the mix of mans unpredictable ways or actions, God does not think in mans irrational and emotional respondent level of existence. But rather in the ways of his sovereignty, to act in the methods inline with his Holy attributes that are not part of mans unsubstantiated thinking. Man acts out in part, because he knows only in part that which is occurring in time, and that is his primary focus due to being caught in the grasp of time. But God spans time and space, and has a absolute view, that does not alter with the sun and the moon. God out spans time and space, so he is continuous in all realms of existence, without interference from either.
be proven true,
> From this we can formulate a precise and accurate conclusion, that declares the righteous sovereignty of God, that leaves no room for the relevancy of false accusations. And the complete irrelevance of those who do not want God, to be God, from interfering on his overall plan of salvation, thru the Jews.
and all mankind
> This then puts mankind in a dismal position of guilt apart from God, which leaves them without a defense, because God is not accusable of any infraction of his Holy character. Mans sin is not imputable to God, which is what they are suggesting, that because man failed, that God failed, but that is not the case. God never intended to prove man as a righteous entity, in and of themselves, only to redeem them, in spite of themselves. And to then transform only the faithful, into the likeness of his son Jesus.
shown up as liars,
> So those who would blame God for their actions of sin, are just adding more weight to the case of sin against them. Claiming that it was not them who caused or are responsible for their sin, because God did achieve holiness in their bodies. But they are the fraudulent imposters, grasping desperately to avoid sentencing, because as I stated, God intended to redeem the faithful and destroy the unfaithful, which is exactly what is and will happen to them in either category.
just as it is written:
> As the scripture has already testified to in Psalms, as a record of this having already taken place in the future, even though it was itself, written in the past. You can see that Gods eternal intention, so far as how God conceives and exercises his concept of things, is in his relevance to the eternal, it is already a done deal, before he even chose to do it. There is no delay in God, as concerning the timing of events, all happen in the window of opportunity as God sees fit for them to happen, God is never delayed in his actions or to his response to the faithful.
"so that you
> I am telling you this now, so that when your time comes, you will already now that which I am doing and have already done when you read this. The righteousness of God is already in existence before you came to be, and will be after you return to dust, even as it was with me King David.
will be justified
> When your day comes upon mankind, and your righteousness becomes apparent before all of creation, it will be clear that your glory will be vindicated and your laws proven true. No one will ever be able to say, that they were in the end, right and God was wrong, that will never happen. There is such thing in existence, that you God have not proven yourself to be higher than and out of the reach of man, to challenge you with.
in your words
> That all that your have taught us was right all along, that what you say is perfect wisdom and holiness. When you told us not to lie, and we did anyway, you were right and we were wrong. Every trial has turned into proving the value and worth of every teaching you gave us, not one of them has proven to be turned out wrong.
and will prevail
> And that you will overcome your adversaries who fought against your sovereignty and divinity, leaving you to rein triumphantly as God over all. There is nothing in creation that is above you or more right than you, that you should come in beneath it, or be in subjection to it.
when you are judged."
> So when you do bring judgment, it will be righteous judgment and you will be declared by your deeds to have had victory over the sins of mankind. When that then happens, both the believers and the wicked will declare you Lord and come under your Lordship. There will be no one to doubt you, because there will be no accusation that any one could bring against you to defame your Holy character of who you are.

3:5 But
> Because there will be a type picture on display in the day of judgment, where, off to one side will be displayed all the things that pertain to mankind and what are his character traits. And opposing that off to other side, will be displayed all the ways of God and that which he stands for in his character.
if our unrighteousness
> Yet some want to make the argument that because we thru are wickedness provide the method of comparison, and that we have become a contrary indicator for God. A useful tool for God to prove himself and that gives us a valid excuse for our actions, which justifies our immoral behavior.
demonstrates
> Because it shows that God is right in everything and we are wrong in everything. That we are the evidence that proves Gods holiness is right, which some then try to turn against God to conclude that it is making us, in some perverse way, not only a necessity for God, but worth something to God because of this, and that gives us value. But that’s is grasping at straws.
the righteousness of God,
> That in contrast to Gods holiness , our wickedness is somehow making Gods case for him, in that we prove his holiness in our sin, and they are trying to call that out-of-bounds of fair play. As though God is not Holy, unless we are sinful, that is so far out there on the fringe of sanity though, it only goes to show the extent some will go to promote their wicked lifestyle.
what shall we say?
> So how do we define this, so we know what is the right meaning of this contrast, that is made between holiness and evil. Where is God going with this demonstration that is inline with why he is Holy.
The God
> God who is the ultimate judge, the one who stands higher in power then all whom he created. The one who is able to justly give life and take it away, as apart of that which he is. The one who is able to call into question and hold accountable the things of men and angels.
who inflicts wrath
> When God brings down his judgement upon mankind and he forces his will upon those who have been disobedient and punishes them for the evil they committed. And as a result of this process, he is been proven righteous, because of the contrast between our sin and his victory over sin thru holiness.
is not unrighteous,
> Does that in itself somehow prove that he is wrong for having shown his glory thru the comparison of our wickedness and using us that way is somehow wrong. Because he used our evil ways as a way of enhancing his own glory, so that it somehow made us pawns in game that took advantage of our weakness, to show his strength in a more visible way. Are his righteous judgments wrong just because our sin glorifies and demonstrates his glory, as being higher and superior to that of evil.
is he?
> Is that what your trying to say here, that this is all just some big game that God is playing, with us as little minions that God has no heart or care for. But is just taking advantage of this opportunity, to make himself look good at our expense.
(I am speaking in human terms.)
> I’m just trying to put it to you here, in the abstract thinking that man has when it comes to God. In that, man even when faced with the absolute truth concerning the visible and apparent glory of God, still tries to wriggle out from under his own guilt and would try to blame God for their failure, just because it also proved that as much as we were wrong, he was even more so right.

3:6 Absolutely not!
> Quite the contrary, nothing could be further from the truth. There is no basis for that argument, that is like blaming the law for having made us thieves, when if you weren’t thieves in the first place, the law would be mute, we would never have needed such a law and there would have never been a need for the law, if there were not thieves. The law proves the sin that men commit there, with or without the laws presence.
For
> Because if God must hold accountable the things that men do, then there is a need for a standard by which to compare their actions to. Either the written code that tells them what is right and wrong, or their own conscious violation of their own conscience, that accuses them of sin, and then liable for the consequences to follow.
otherwise
> How else then, does God go about finding and bringing to justice the sins that men do, what other standard would he use to define what sin is in the lives of man. The world wants no definition, just so that it can continue in its self destructive ways, but God says no to that.
how could God
> Would it be consistent, just to use random events that had no basis in life for comparison as a source of judgment. Would it be just, if instead of one standard for all, that he was arbitrary in justice, in that, what he held one accountable for in disobedience, he let someone else of the hook for the same act, for no apparent reason, other than he felt like it.
judge the world?
> Apart from this, it would not be visible to mans thinking when God does condemn the world for its action. This is the only visible evidence to man and angels the he is righteous, and his righteousness, though it may be proven by this comparison of our evil to his holiness, does not alter his character. Because he was perfect already, prior to our judgment, he is not made more perfect by this, he is just now made more known in the eyes of his accusers, as being perfect. His essence of holiness, though glorious to those who see his handiwork, is intangible to them who do not except his glory. So thru his actions that demonstrate that glory and leave them in awe, the standard was needed for the world to admit, that his verdicts are just before the angles who accused him.

3:7 For
> As it is in the mind of man in his form of thinking, that if his part in this makes something possible, that was not as apparent before, as it is now, that should at least be taken into consideration, as a goodness that they did, as it came at a cost to them and should be imputed or credited to them as such.
if by
> But what you are trying to say here is, that in the process of committing a crime, by some twist of fate, some positive thing came out of it, that was not a part of the original intention to commit the crime. That instead of being punished when caught in the crime, that you should instead be commended for the twist of fate, rather than condemned for the crime.
my lie
> So if I try to conclude that by way of my sinful attributes that show me to be deceitful, that I have a basis for my argument, that I am being falsely accused, in light of the fact that it reveals Gods glory. It is like in the process of committing a crime like kidnapping a child from their home to assault them, and after you have taken the child, the house burns down. Which had you not kidnapped the child, they would have died in the fire, and then you are caught and the child rescued from you. After which you are made aware of the good that came from your kidnapping the child, that would have other wise died in the fire.
the truth
> So as a result of that, you instead of being apprehended by the authorities for kidnapping and held accountable, you now believe that you should be commended for having saved the child. When it was also you who intended plan to harm for the child in the first place, but now you want to be rewarded for your misbehavior. Just because of the twist of fate, that had some positive benefit to it, even though that occurrence was never part of your own intentions in the first place.
of God enhances
> So the child is recovered safe and that as it turns out is thing of glory, but merely as a twist of fate, in that, evil revealed something that was already in existence, it does not justify the act itself, because the original intent was to do harm to the child by assault, not save the child from the fire. So thru this the issue of child safety is promoted, but that in no way justifies the evil of the kidnapper. In the same manner, that fact that when evil is done, it serves to promote the goodness of those who do good, in this case Gods glory and holiness, which is a result of mans sinfulness being made evident.
his glory,
> That by God being proven in this demonstration, that his glory is made more visible to those that are not able to understand his glory, apart from this comparison. Why can’t I thereby claim to be making him more glorious then he already was and be justified in that. Does that not make me by a part of his glory by extension of what I am doing?
why am I
> Isn’t there a rational in that process that frees me from my guilt, as a response to the good that came from my own wickedness, at least as in the way I see it, I was an important part of this revelation to man, God needs me to be Holy, doesn’t he.
still
> Yet I am still being brought up on charges of sin, when I should be given a medal for what I have provided, or at least some clemency credited to me. Maybe God should feel guilty for what he is doing for me, when I made him who he is, I’m his only proof!
actually
> But that is not at all what is taking place, it is as though God is not even taking that into consideration, after all I did for showing Gods glory, you would think he would be at least grateful to me, if not indebted to me for what I did for him.
being judged
> But instead, he is putting me on trial, and after all I did for him, is that gratitude for you, I should have lived a perfect life, that would have showed him, then where would he be. It just doesn’t seem fair to me, not that I am ever fair to anyone else, I just want more fairness when it come to me, well not really fairness, I want an edge over others, a free pass even.
as a sinner?
> I just don’t get it, why am I being harassed as a being wicked, if I’m doing him a favor. But that is not the case here at all, because this is actually the point God is making, you don’t get it, and you won’t on your own, unless he shows you that he already knows the truth in spite of you. The grass is no less green, because one is colorblind, if ones colorblindness is healed, the grass did not suddenly become green, just the perspective, of the one whose perceptions had been altered, so that they could see what the true color was all along, and so God is in his glory all along, you did not suddenly create it for him. It is the opposition to your sin in which God is glorified, not your sin.

3:8 And
> Now there is a group out there that is twisting our words around for their benefit, it is their intention to confuse you on these matters entirely out of spite for God and all of us. What they are doing is, propositioning you in a way that seems enticing in a way that appeals to our senses that are part of the flesh, but are not of the Spirit. They are trying to get you to prostitute yourself, as though it were for a good cause, when in the end. It only serves them and their cause, while it use you up, until they dispose of you in the gutter.
why not say,
> So should we continue to let this idea that they are setting the stage for and attempting to propagate itself among us, in order to only let it gain some credibility. Which would only lead to confusion and the deadly effects of sin itself. In their way of thinking, life is just a party, so why not go for it, especially if it sort of makes God look good!
"Let us do evil
> Isn’t this our card blanch to do what ever we will and never have to worry about the consequences of it. Because what ever we do, as bad as it may be, it just makes God look even better.
so that
> We are doing this for his own good then, which is commendable, at least, that is the way it is being presented here by them. If the inevitable is inevitable, why not make the best of it, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade, as the world would say.
good
> By the time we are done sinning our life away, God will have become so glories, that he will not hold us accountable for our actions, the delusion they sell you, is that God will be delighted, because they think God reasons at the level they do.
may come of it?"-
> That somehow because God will use our evil to prove righteousness, we should help him along by doing more evil things, that please us also. So we will be happy taking pleasure in sin, and God will be shown to glorious from our sin.
as some
> That is what some out there are trying to sell you, a bag of goods on the outside, but that is all rotten inside. What they are trying to hand you, is a ticking time bomb that is set to explode right in your face, but they are telling you, all is secure and safe.
who slander us
> And there are accusers among you who berate us and try to discredit us, as having any rationale to our thinking. They twist our words in this way to make us look like complete fools, but don’t you be fooled by them. the remarks that they have made, are all being accounted for in the hall of records, in the house of Gods judgment.
allege
> The accusations that they make are meaningless words, with no merit to them, they lie out of the depravity of their own hearts, so don let yourselves be taken in by them or be in their company.
that we say.
> As what they say is, that we are teaching this, what a false accusation that others have made against us, for there is no truth in what they say, they are trying to discredit us and put words in our mouth, while making false doctrines in our name. But here me now, they do not speak for us and we never proclaimed or taught any of what they are saying.
(Their condemnation
> The day of reckoning is coming for people like them, they will not always be able to avoid and get away with these sort of blasphemes against us and God. The plate that they eat off of, is soiled with deadly toxins, that will one day eat them away into the dust of the earth.
is deserved!)
> They will certainly have earned what they have coming to them, and it will serve them right, that God will be made more glorious to our awareness, on the backs of their trying to twist this principle to meet their own needs, it will be a fitting recompense to them, that all that they stood for, was in the end, nothing for their benefit, but all for Gods.

The Condemnation of the World

3:9 What then?
> Who benefits then from all this talk, where does that puts us now in the overall scheme of things. If someone were to suggest that from the state of the Jews in respect to the Gentiles, that there is a reason compare or divide them or that one is superior in rank to the other, how do we respond to that concept.
Are we better off?
> Are my Jewish brethren and I better off than you, now that I have pointed out that we have a particular role to play in what God, thru his providence is doing. Because we are duty bound to retain the law and our lineage is part a process that began and will end in us. Does that make our justification from sin and rank, somehow separate and of a greater position from gentiles.
Certainly not,
> Not in the least, all of us were in the same sinking boat and rescued in the same manner, how can one boast about that, where’s the point to such an argument, there isn’t one. No one can brag about what they did not do themselves and were not even aware of until later. It is after the same manner of circumcision in the baby, that they never knew what happened to them, till they were older and it was revealed to them the meaning of the practice. But they are circumcised now anyway, but not of their own efforts, but thru the act of one who came before them, it was done for them.
for we have already
> Now I think that the case that was already stated concerning the fact that the differences between the Jews an non-Jews, is merely a cosmetic one. Not a moral or physical attribute in them, that was in some way a higher form of creation.
charged that Jews
> I have clearly demonstrated to you that the complexities of the law, that were supposed, were not there at all, they were delusions and schemes drawn up by man to take advantage of others for their own benefit. To make as it were; rulers of morality and subjects too morality, separated into different social orders. All based on mans relative situation to reach his own ideal of judgments, not on the wisdom of Gods absolute righteousness to find the truth.
and Greeks alike
> And then in a more opposite fashion, the non-Jews were trying to act as though there was no standard by which to arrive at any moral straight for them to behave in. so they just acted according to what ever seemed relevant and relative at to time, without any absolutes to hang their hat on.
are all under sin,
> Which in the end, it is as it was in the beginning, where both Jews and non-Jews are guilty of the same sins that was rotting out the bottom of both sinking boats. In which they were both existing in a state, that had doomed them all to the same drowning death. And it was from that condition, that God saved them both and justified them from their sins by the same Christ, who rescued them all at once, regardless of their social order.

3:10 just as it is written:
> As the scripture has already testified to in Psalms and Isaiah as a record of this, so that you know that this has Gods plan all along.

"There is no one righteous,
> There never has been anyone us who in the essence of their own attributes, was able to declare that as a character trait, they had as their fundamental nature, the possession of holiness. Or that they were, due to their nationality, a better race of people from the fact that it was somehow, woven into the fiber of their being, was a more perfect race.
not even one,
> Absolutely no one ever existed with the rightful claim to being righteous, not from Adam till the last man dies. Only Christ who is God, who came from outside the seed of man as an insert into humanity. Was there ever a man, who came from man, that stood the test of time, to prove himself Holy in all respects.

3:11 there is no one who understands,
> No one can comprehend the mind of God; how can the limited abilities of a finite man, even begin to explore the infinite consciousness of God. When men can’t even remember their own wedding anniversary, and yet they want to explore the vastness of the universe, either in the philosophies of the Spirit-mind or in going to distant planets. You’ll get lost and never find your way home, or as your mother would say, "Stop that! you’ll poke you eye with that rocket thing", and she is right. You’ll never train or map the human heart or conquer the universe itself, whether in the seeking of the internal depths of man’s heart or the external regions of the stars, they are all beyond you.
there is no one who seeks God.
> Mans own self-absorption of his present condition, leaves him unable to fascinate himself with the unimaginable in-existence, that is beyond the finite of his senses and does not include his physical world. Therefore, all attempts of man are to bring the mystical into the physical realm, or in other words, they want heaven on earth. But no one is seeking heaven without earth, all their thoughts to this effect, attempt to bring God to earth, for some rational experience that they can incorporate into they finite abilities. What God is saying is that no one pursues the eternal, without first considering the finite as their method of attainment. No one rejects in their nature, that which they see as possible or doable themselves, and then in opposing fashion, instinctively only believes that which is impossible. It’s an oxymoron to our system, we’ll explode trying to figure it out, but that is why it is impossible for man to seek God, we are limited to our physical senses.

3:12 All have turned away,
> The very mind of man is bent in another direction from seeing what is the total view of what God is making visible of himself. They would rather see themselves in the mirror and envision their reflection in society in a state of greatness, than become insignificant in mankind’s view, but relevant to Gods plan for them. If your relevant to man, your irrelevant to God, if man can’t live without you, God can!
together they have
> But this is not just an isolated case here or there, it is a complete social order that has taken over the entire earth. It may show itself differently in the many forms preferences between cultures, but that only makes one group think they are better than another, due to the way that they have defined their own self-worth. But in the end, they are only comparing ones dung, to another’s, and are not even aware of it.
become worthless;
> Even if you add up all that is consider reputable before mankind, in light of the fact that there’s always an ulterior motive, the sum of all of it is still not exchangeable for the consideration of Gods praise, which without his praise, is cursed and valueless.
there is no one who shows kindness,
> No one possesses mercy, and as I have stated already, that which you do that might be deemed righteous, is not pure in character, you have intentions that are hidden and motives behind all motivations. All which makes your action without merit and unmerciful, to the end that there is never an action, without some thought of recompense in return.
not even one."
> Absolutely no one ever existed with the rightful claim to being merciful, not from Adam till the last man dies. Only Christ who is God, who died when he had nothing to gain as in he already possessed all that was in existence and his glory was already perfect. All of which he did, while we were still his enemies, in which he demonstrated his mercy, so that God had nothing to gain and everything to give.

3:13 "Their throats
> That which is an expression of what is deeply rooted inside of them, in that, it was at the soul of who they were as a type of people. The very core of who they were as a people was a place that led them, where they were on course to go in the end.
are open graves
,
> All which they vocalize is corrupted and claim to know, only leads to their death and reinforces the truth of who they are. All that come out of them as a thought pattern, has its formation in deaths grasp of them. And it waits at all times for them to come occupy it, it is not a question of if, but when. All of which proceeds from them, as they formulate their course in life, is from the depth of their destructive behavior, in their misery, they try to pull others into their own destruction also. As they cannot find a solution to their own dilemma, instead of seeking God as an opportunity of rescue, they choose to draw others into their own device as well.
they deceive
> So they go from thought concept, to planning stages of promoting what they failed in. So that in others failures, they become the status-quo for what is acceptable in social behavior. Thereby increasing their own misery and making escape impossible in the downward spiral of sin.
with their tongues,
> As a result of this method of sin promotion, you can’t believe a word they say. Because all that is in them is treachery, they have plans for the ruin of others and will betray anyone they can, especially their own family.
the poison of asps
> They slither around with a venom laced words in their intentions, they lurk for opportunities to strike at unexpecting victims, so they can be consumed by them. All of their intentions are to bring others down to their level, so that they are as weak as they are by injecting them with ideas that numb their conscience and paralyze them against resistance. Where it then corrodes you life with its disintegrating effectts.
is under their lips."
> At first they flatter and embellish, but what comes after is meant to weaken and betray, as they inject their poisoned thinking into your life, you lose you defensive capabilities and they take you, as just another prey.

3:14
"Their mouths
> All the efforts that they use to speak with, are all pointed in one direction, and that is away from God or anything to do with honoring him. They never have praise for him that is heart felt, only accusations which come about at their hands of failure, thru deceit.
are full
> There is an endless supply of this evil speaking, it is all they know to do, and everything that is in them is corrupt, godliness is meaningless to them. filth pours out of them as an endless cesspool, deep with hatred and the endless stench of despair.
of cursing
> They use vulgar language as their speech and never try to bless anyone for their goodness. They berate others for their weakness, but never encourage them to the prosperity of godly living. They would rather tear someone else down and spoil their image, to make themselves look good, rather then gain a good name in a decent form of living.
and bitterness."
> Their souls are wounded and defeated by the hatred they have had to endure. Because that is what they have become and that is the mantel in life they have chosen, they have sought revenge on everyone and now, that is what everyone wants on them again. They are caught in the whirlpool of its destruction and are being sucked into its permanent grave of defeat.

3:15 "Their feet
> They carry the message with them where ever they go, its part of their character, in the same way that the Christian is to carry the gospel with them, "wearing on their feet the gospel of salvation", these take their destructive message with them as a life mission. It is the only sense of meaning that they have in life, to them without this moral depravity, they would be less than nothing.
are swift
> So as soon as the opportunity presented itself to them, to be in on something that gives them status and no longer be the one kicked around. They took to it without any delay from a thought of conscience, as their chance to get even in life, regardless of the method and its preying on others, just as they were preyed upon. In fact in time, they laid in wait like a predator animal, for the chance to strike out at the unsuspecting in life, to be consumed by them as nothing more than sustenance. They are quick to loose their temper and take vengeance on others, they run on ahead to be the first to scavenge for evil opportunities.
to shed blood,
> They want to overpower the weaker and vulnerable among them and shore up their domination of others, rather then protect and defend them. They are blood thirsty individuals, because if they had to use reason and wisdom to accomplish anything, they would be the last ones that any one turned too, and powerless in every occasion. But now in this, they powerful and on top, and the death of others is of no consequence to them.

3:16 ruin
> What they leave behind in the wake of their interference in life, is a state devastation to the family life that they have preyed upon. If a mother or father are destroyed in their lust for sin, it leaves no remorse in them what so ever, for the children’s lives they have uprooted.
and misery
> Their behavior is always bent on destruction and even their own lives are marked with sorrow and desolation, full of regret but not repentance. Not to mention all the other lives they have devastated, and despite all this they will not abandon this lifestyle, but are doomed to repeat it. And then be judged to exist in the eternal consequence of it.
are in their paths,
> Every where they go they leave behind a wake of destruction, their life is a story of absolute failure, and where they are headed has already been marked out for them, they are destined to live it without it amounting to anything. Because they refuse to find life, in life, but rather choose to find life in the death and destruction of others, to make them feel as though they were alive, but in reality, they are the walking dead.

3:17 and the way of peace
> The attributes that come with being able to handle the stresses of life, are marked by the principles that we adhere ourselves too. They then provide a predestined result based on these precepts, but these people remain ignorant to the power of these attributes to save them. Because being at peace in life is a predetermined journey that they have never take. For what ever reason, the path that led them to the place that they are not at, was not laid out with a plan to find peace. But rather, they were just wanderers and vagrants in the earth, with no destination or home.
they have not known."
> The subjects that they have studied include only war and confrontation as a means to an end. They have never applied themselves to be instructed in that which produces a constructive resolution. They only know how to use a hammer to force the issue, they know nothing about the skilled trade, of properly fitting pieces together with temper and patience, a crafty person they are, but a craftsman of honor escapes them.

3:18 "There is no fear of God
> They are marked by ignorance, they have no understanding of their present danger, because their hearts cannot seek God, they cannot tremble at the power and awe of his Holiness. Because they are void of its meaning, they can’t put all the pieces of creation together and solve the puzzle. Which would in itself bring terror into our human dependence and at the vastness of his dominion. But even when God demonstrates it to them in bite size portions, their mouths refuse its taste and their minds reject their need for its health to them.
before their eyes."
> They suffer from total spiritual blindness, they look only to their own needs and the consideration of God, does not even enter in to their thinking. For them God simply is not apart of the equation, and they put a minus sign in front of him, as they factor him in the main equation of their life, and so their answer, will always come out wrong and in deficit of meaning.

3:19 Now we know
> We have not been without instruction and this is what we have learned and know to be true. The reason behind the law is made clear to us now and the method of its use by God spelled out by God also.
that whatever
> Because the contents that exist and details that come from within the knowledge of that law. Are there for defining the gravity of mans sinful condition, without arbitrary consideration, as to who and how it is metered out, to them it is pertaining to.
the law says,
> Those instructions that comprise the written code, were meant to set certain precedents and establish certain procedures among men. The laws are not set with a reference point of comparing man to man, but rather are a measurement of reference from man to God.
it says to those
> It is a way of God communicating to man, the state that he is in, so far as their sinful dilemma that controls them and the vast differences that exist, in the separation between man and God. Where as man is dictated to by the precepts that sin orders in their lives, God is himself able to dictate the law, because he is subject to nothing, but rather all things are subject to him. So God is above the law, not in the sense that he is able to violate the law in rebellion against it, but that law is subject to what he declares it to be for them it is given to. God is above the law, because he is its author and its enforcer, he did not receive the law to himself from another, but gave it to condemn others under his state of glory, which is an expression of who he is.
who are under the law,
> So to who does it then speak then, the Jews of course were given the duties of preserving the law, but that does not excuse the rest of mankind from its judgment, because ignorance is no excuse. The written law though, was meant for those only who came in contact with it, it was a device for God to open the eyes and heart of man, as to the wholesale depravity of man, when faced with even the partial attributes of God that were given in the law. So even though the law was specific in meaning to certain generations, more than others, its effect is enforced in every generation, both before and after the law was given.
so that every mouth
> So no matter who claims that their is no absolute truth, and tries to blur the lines of Gods righteousness, so as to confuse right from wrong. They in these attempts, try to deny that things are black or white, as the law states in its absolutes. They instead of declaring morality in a framework of understanding it, and by a way of comparing it in a great gulf of separation, they rather try to color everything with gray. They instead of saying that sin and holiness, are as separate as the east is from the west, they try to teach and portray everything as only a fine and undefined wiggle line of separation, that is only relative to ones own thinking.
may be silenced
> These people will all be left speechless, without the voice to defend themselves with, when they stand before God. Their thoughts then betraying their evil deeds and the intentions in their hearts, as the law convicts them. They will not even be able to open their mouth in protest for the sins they have committed. Because the evidence that exist in the law that man is under, by Gods power to do so, will leave no wiggle room for them to justify their behavior in.
and the whole world
> This then leaves the entire humane race as part of this, their will be no exclusionary deals made for this, the outcome of the laws is the same for everyone. Even if they never heard it, it power to condemn all is equal in all cases. Because the essence of the law proves what it is intended to prove, and that is that man is sinful, wholly and corrupt, but God is Holy and righteous in judgement.
may be held
> This demonstrates to man, Gods authority to act as the one who is not only able in power, but righteous in his position. To enforce the decrees that man received from God, and that Gods judgment of man condition, is without dispute, correct in every matter. So God from this may try the matter of man before him, and discern the appropriate course of action to be taken against each individual he finds guilty of sin.
accountable to God.
> In this mankind will be brought to justice and made liable for their actions, culpable in sin and sentenced to the eternal fires of hell for their sins. Only those in whom Christ redeemed will escape punishment, those who when coming before him accused, are one of his, due their having trusted him for forgiveness and the covering of their sins, in his act of redemption of mankind on the cross. Because the law without the love of Christ, would have done nothing to benefit man, in the state of sin he is in. Because the law without Christ love is meaningless and unnecessary, but with his love, the law with his love, is the power of our salvation. Because the law reveals the sin, and Christ love, is all sufficient, to then cover that sin from its ill effects of judgement.

3:20 For
> The reason for this, is that they both have intended purpose in their function and the reason that God brought both into play before mankind. So that we understand this fully, we must realize that one was intended to bring condemnation, that being the law. While Christ after the law, in order to take away and replace total condemnation with absolute forgiveness, for those who followed him in that way of forgiveness.
no one
> There never has been, nor ever will be one, who was born or will be born, after the seed of Adam. That does not come under the law and the condemnation that results from that. All of mankind, male or female, young or old, all together are subject to this test of their condition by the law, in absolute reference to God as the unchangeable standard of comparison.
is declared
> In this method then, no one is found redeemed thru the evidence produced by the law that they are under. God has already pronounced judgement on all of mankind, even though the formal court procedure is still future. The evidence was already present before God at the time of Christ’s act of redemption, in sufficient form and weight, so that the time was right for God to provide an alternate method of saving mankind, from his law of condemnation, that he chose to bring against man.
righteous before him
> No one of mankind will ever be confirmed as being Holy under the judgment of God, because of the law, and even though judgment day is a future event. It can be considered as past tense, the future will not be altered due to any of man actions, no matter the relative situations that mankind will dream up for himself in self-defense, the verdict is in already.
by the works of the law,
> This is because that the determination was made by Adams fall into sin, and the works that men do, are not cause for a reevaluation of that. All of which at this point, has already been predestined to occur, the verdict stands. All of mankind are guilty under the law.
for through the law
> So the law was an avenue to stress to mankind the difficulty of their condition and to open their eyes to what had already been determined by God. It was a form of mercy in itself by God, as a way of explaining to mankind the destiny of man, but not without the power of his love in providing absolute immunity to those who would follow the leading of his son, to provide a way out of eternal condemnation.
comes
> This became the passageway by which brought what God would make clear to mankind, all that which was needed to be understood concerning the legal state of man. So the written code became the vehicle to pass along the attributes of an invisible God to mankind. So that man when he came face to face with the severity of his terminal condition, could alter his eternal destiny, in spite of his temporal state and status with God.
the knowledge of sin.
> So the law was given as a measuring rod, something by which we could compare our behavior against and find out when we were acting against the attributes of Gods character. This also becomes an operator for the mind to calculate his outcome, and an object lesson in life, that convicts men of their sin. Not only in this present state of man, but as evidence of being in violation of Gods commandments, in the day of judgment.

3:21 But now
> Lets get little closer to the fire, and try to see this as God intended, not as man has tried to define it. You see man is always trying to change the original intent of God into something that benefits him in the flesh, but as we see hear, Gods intent is unchangeable, from that which it is.
apart from the law
> If we were to separate ourselves from the written code, we can still cast dispersion upon the efforts of man, even it is not written down. Because the written law was just part of God revealing of himself to man, there were many other, personal an global methods he used also.
the righteousness of God
> All that God encompasses with his Holy attributes, makes itself obvious to man, when seen in contrast to that which is mans attributes. As all that man is, is in opposition to Gods attributes, and all things which are an expressions of Gods purity alone, man is not able to define into his limited physical mental abilities, which is beyond all that man is able to seek and comprehend as a human. But in it, it does offer to man a demonstration of Gods holiness in part, as they consider and examine themselves in light mans failure, in Gods law, over and over again. Yet God, at the same time, does not struggle with the law in any way, it shows in part to man a glimpse, of Gods ability to be Holy, even in the ways of the law.
(which is attested
> Which began long ago, when God began to show himself in his discourse with others in mankind’s history. In fact all along, God has been teaching mankind, a little hear, and little there, and then testing him to see how they are comprehending his messages to them. And it’s not over now, he is still affirming himself to mankind, one at a time. Making himself known in their own personal life, with all the evidence they need, to be convinced of his desire to redeem all that will trust in him.
by the law
> The law was a necessary tool of Gods handiwork with man. It gave man an impossible task to achieve, that was far beyond his fallen state to live within its guidelines, even in part, let alone the whole law of God.
and the prophets)
> This was also spoken to not just in the written code, but also foretold by Gods messengers, who told us Christ was to come. Nothing that has happened was not done without beforehand knowledge of it coming, with it first being made known when it was either written down, or thru the prophets. Who God revealed the coming events too, and they then added that to the written record, for those who would come later.
has been disclosed-
> Now we’ve but to open our eyes and hearts to that which was invisible to us before, but has now been made visible to us in Christ redemption. Because all that God has done with creation, now testifies of his glory and the complete picture of mans trouble with God, has been resolved with resolution and hand for all to take.

3:22 namely,
> To be more specific, so that there is no misunderstanding, I am going to lay out the whole rundown of what God accomplished. And that way you’ll have it picture perfect in your head, as to what God did for man, if let’s give it a name in a phase that sum it all up, "Saved by Grace".
the righteousness of God
> The attributes of Gods character, that are Holy in every aspect and invisible to mans perception, has left us blind. We cannot see Gods holiness, it exist in a realm of glorious light and understanding that exist outside of human perception at any level of human existence. No pure thought of man, can reach out and touch that which God is, man cannot while in this body of flesh, relate or have anything in common with Gods holiness. But don’t despair, where man it is impossible to know God, with God it is possible to make himself, at least it part, known to man. This is done by demonstrating himself in mans weakness, where he intercedes just enough to be awe inspiring to man, but not short circuit and kill the flesh in the presence of his radiant glory. A glimpse is enough for anyone!
through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ
> Man was finally able to see a visible manifestation of God though, thru the work of Jesus Christ, who showed it perfectly thru, in every manner to which man could be exposed to God and still not die. So because Christ did not fail, but exceeded beyond what man is able to do, we saw Gods glory, in the form of the man, was the Christ.
for all who believe.
> This was been preordained to happen for all of mankind, without favoritism, as to their ancestry, whether Jews or non-Jews alike. Enabling all of man to reason with the Spirit of God and have an awareness of what was yet to come, in the knowledge that his holiness existed in a realm apart from man.
For there is no distinction,
> God has never intended to exclude anyone who was willing to come to the knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord over all, or make a division among them, when he justifies them all by his own blood. All will receive a full pardon alike, not matter their past offenses while earth or their distinct histories as a people.

3:23 for
> The idea to remember here is, that despite the different cultures, ideologies, religious acts or lack of them. Only man looks at these external situations, as having any meaning, but to God they are all irrelevant.
all have sinned
> What God has been trying to teach man all along is that there is no one that is not a sinner, and there was no one that was not born that way. It is the true part of everyone’s heritage that everyone tries to ignore, thinking it to be irrelevant. But God is saying that is the main point that you are missing, and you can no more change that heritage and not be guilty of sin, than a dog could become a human, it is a transition or transformation of necessity, but impossible to happen.
and fall short
> No matter how far we strive in our attempts to reach the Holy attributes of God, and measure up to his righteousness, we will always come up at the bottom instead of the top. We cannot even mirror that which he is, because his vastness is endless and we are but a fragment in time, let alone able to attain his statue within us. It is like, our distance from God is so great, that if we were to venture outside of this earth atmosphere unassisted, where the earth now holds us in its grasp, into the outer space to reach God, all we would do is drift endlessly away from God, and never find him, so great is our separation from his holiness.
of the glory of God.
> For God exist outside of time and space in all his holiness, and is immeasurable and incalculable for mankind to be able to perceive, that which is his Holy character and how endless are his glories. Our degree of separation is more vast than the universe around us, which is unsearchable or able to be transcended by man. The true glory of God, is inconceivable to man and only displayed in part in the visible reaches of his creation.

3:24 But
> That being the case, and the consequences of it so dire, that there was only one remedy to the situation. It was up to God to span the distance and go get man in a rescue mission himself, or they would be lost forever. The distance was not an issue for God to cross over, it was no great thing for him to span time or space. But there remained the issue of mans guilt under sin, that God also had to remedy in the rescue process, and it was no small matter for God to resolve, it was done at so great a price to him, it is incalculable in human terms. But do it, he did.
they are justified
> So how did God do this, that is resolve our guilt of sin and punishable state we were in. He did it thru a process of substitution, where someone who was not guilty of sin, would willingly take out place of punishment. And it in itself, was so selfless an act, that God would allow that to suffice, by extending his grace in honor that selfless one, to be the punishment in place of anyone, that this selfless person claimed that he did it for. It is because of his glory, that he is able to declare us as having been accredited with this selfless one identify of perfection and cleared of all charges that could be brought against us. Where man talks about guilt by association, in this case, it is innocence by association, not that you were innocent yourself of sin, but that you were deemed innocent, thru the innocence of the selfless one.
freely
> So how does one though find themselves in this association with this innocent one. How does one gain access to his presence? By asking him, that is it, by asking him to allow you to be associated with him so that you can have your sins forgiven thru him and by him. He wants as many as possible, to enter into this relationship with him, so that they can be saved from sin and enter into a relationship with the eternal God that will last forever. There is no material cost in this, that you could apply some price to it for you to attain it yourself at you will, in that sense it is a gift of freedom from God to you. What it does require of you in the area of relationship though, is your will to come under his will, so that his faith becomes a substitute for your, as did his suffering substitute your suffering of sin. That you move from your present state of living in a life of sin and old ways of living for evil, and exchange that state you are in, for a new state, where move into the house of those made Holy, and make your bed in the company of them as your allegiance in life, "New lives for old, warm hearts for cold", that’s the offer.
by his grace
> Which he lovingly provided for us, which it pleased him to do it on our behalf, he required nothing from us to earn this gift, that’s why it’s a gift. It was out of his good character from which it came to us, it demonstrates to us, what it is to be God, so that we might have some understanding, of who he is. God does require justice, but he is also able to rescue some from his own justice, he created his justice and he thru his mercy, has also created a remedy for it also.
through the redemption
> This justifying us before his judgment was a legal maneuver or act, that alters the ongoing process and reverses a judgement. He did it through an act of providing an intercessor on our behalf, who would step forward at our judgment, and step in front of us so to speak. So that the Father will judge the intercessor instead of us, seeing the intercessors deeds as being on trial instead of ours. This was necessary, in that in our prior state, we were kidnapped, as it were by sin, and held its prisoner for life and under judgment. We needed to be rescued from that state we were in and that rescue was accomplished thru the effort of only one person, Jesus Christ, the selfless one, who than became our intercessor.
that is in Christ Jesus.
> This intercessor is also his son, Christ Jesus, who is perfect in pleasing God in his judgement of him every time, and therefore we are deemed not guilty by reason of substitution and association, our intercessors having been judged in our place, and his righteous acts are credited to us, so that we are justified, having fulfilled the requirements of the law thru Christ Jesus.

3:25 God publicly displayed him
> The entire action that took place to redeem us from our sins, was played out on the world stage for all creation to see. So they could all be witnesses as to what took place and all the evidence of it could be made public and recorded in the public records. The shame that Christ would have to bear, would be a public humiliation, and that was Gods intended purpose too do, to his son. To cause all of our shame that we deserved for having sinned in our depravity. To come upon the innocence of his son, so that Christ would bear our shame of public humiliation, so we would not have to punished by God.
at his death
> Where Christ was taken up on the cross and crucified, his blood being poured out over the world. Till in the end, Christ died on that cross, his blood then became life as it flowed to the earth, to be our covering before God and hide our sins.
as the mercy seat
> This then became an atonement for mans sins, in which the life giving blood of Jesus, having flowed down upon the earth, made mankind alive to God the Father, by covering mans sins as a sacrifice for those sins. As our own blood flowing thru our bodies gives life to us, so Christ blood gives us spiritual life to the Father. It having flowed down upon earth thru the cross; also known as a propitiation, where God became the author of our salvation. As it originated in him for us, our sins now having been remanded, where our punishment having been taken away and set aside. Which is a legal maneuver or court procedure. God brought man and Jesus together on the mercy seat of his judgement, which is the place where God must bring all things of man to be reconciled and resolved. It is the precise work of a skilled tradesman, that God brought this about, not the forced work of blunting something with a hammer into submission. The concept of the mercy seat is a place where God settles his grievance with man and ends the dispute. It’s a metaphor that man can comprehend, call it neutral ground, the peace table, or some other metaphor. It’s the place where willing parties agree to end the hostility that has kept them add odds from each other. Because they greatly desire reconciliation, with willing parties being the emphasis here.
accessible
> This having accrued at the time of Christ death, when the Vail of separation that was in the temple of the Jews in Jerusalem. That represented the separation between man and God. Was torn into two separate pieces, allowing for man to now boldly run to God presence, and be fully accepted by God, thru Christ, as a right of access.
through faith.
> This now having been taken place, we who believe can now see the image God in the form of Christ and not die. We have eternal access to the Father thru Christ work and the spirit that he made alive in us, which prior to his sacrifice was deceased. Christ became the avenue and the vehicle by which we are brought into the presence of God, who with loving arms welcomes us to himself.
This was
> All of this God did with an intended purpose, it was a well thought out plan and none of it happened by accident, or a result of a spur of the moment situation where it was just thrown together at the last moment. God new that the sheer magnitude of what he was doing, would awe everyone, once they came to know and understand the full concept and meaning of what he did for mankind. Granted, many will never know or understand it until after it is too late, and they have died. But many will receive it in life and then gain eternal life as a result of it. Those who do not, will suffer the shame of realizing to late, what an awesome thing God has done to save so worthless a people.
to demonstrate
> That which God did, he did too show once and for all time, that which his character and holiness was. That his state of being, was so far removed from that of mans thinking and understanding, that it could only be made known thru such an act as this, so that it literally, shocked all of creation, including all the angelic host of heaven and earth.
his righteousness,
> So that all creation would be a witness to his Holy attributes, so that even the angelic host would be able to conclude against the accusation of satan, the greatness of Gods glory. They being in awe of his wondrous works, and those invisible attributes which man cannot see, are made visible in the work of Christ Jesus, for us to believe in. So Jesus became the glory of God and his righteousness, in the flesh.
because
> This having now all taken place, it shows clearly that what God had planned to do all along, was in the best interest for all of mankind. Even if it was hard himself, to have to temporally put up with mans sinful behavior, while he was working thru the process.
God in his forbearance
> Thru Gods longsuffering with mankind, he showed his patience as a sovereign God that he alone was all powerful and able to produce the end results that he determined in himself to do. According to what was pleasing to his will, in that, if God decides to do something, no matter the cost, he is able to get the job done. Even is even powerful enough to hold off his own anger and frustration with us, until he has done all he can for us.
had passed over
> God in prior times then, did not call man to the mat for their sinful behavior. He did this for the benefit for all those who lived before Christ came to actually save mankind. God having full confidence in his own sovereignty, to cause his plan of salvation to work out just as he intended. Chose to allow man to exist in his sinful state, without destroying the earth, so they would have the option of Christ to come out from among them.
the sins previously committed.
> So even though the sins of man that were being asserted and charged by satan , who pressed God for mans damnation. Bringing them daily before God prior to the redeeming work of Christ, he held off their condemnation till after their was an eternal atonement for their sins. So that Christ would be able to declare them as righteous, for having lived their lives in faith, when they then looked forward to their coming messiah to rescue them also.

3:26 This was also
> The same is true for us also, in that, as it was for them in the past tense, it was also meant to have a carry over effect in all of time looking forward too. The program that God himself had initiated, severed as the model that would be employed for all them that hear his voice to come follow him.
to demonstrate
> It was also necessary to set the record straight at the proper time, Gods timing was critical as to when it was right to declare that mans salvation had been attained. So all things were done lawfully and in proper order, so that it was known that he did not cut corners to get there ahead of time. And not one person got away with their sins forgiven or not held accountable for that which they did, prior to Christ atonement for sin, despite his sincere desire to love us fully and having a relationship with them.
his righteousness
> So all of his holiness, was made visible for those of us in the church age, to have a clear understanding, having the whole picture before us. As to how God was able, regardless the circumstances, to put into action all things, even in the face of evils greatest brutality against his own son. That thru his Holy attributes, which are his character, he is able to overtake any and all circumstances, and acts rightly and in accordance with his own laws.
in the present time,
> So now that the atonement has been made known throughout creation, God was able to declare that he was now able to pardon the sins of the faithful. For those who had or will put their trust in the Messiah, the day of salvation had come upon mankind, and God was able to fellowship in the Spirit, with his children. So God had established his prior dealings with man, as having been worth the wait, and now he is ready to go full steam ahead, with those of our time also, without anything to hinder or get in the way of wrapping up the final fate of all mankind.
so that he
> This has now established God, as God, in every generation that has ever been or will come. It puts actions behind his word, in that, he has done exactly as he said he would. God made the case for mans guilt in sin and need for punishment which was found true. Then he made an argument of defense, that they should also be set free from their sin and found not guilty of sin thru the use of a stand-in to take their place. He then proved both guilt and redemption as legally valid and is now enforcing both, according to his proven place as judge.
would be just
> In this it became known, that God adheres to his own decrees, and is saying, do as I do, as opposed to man who says, do as I say, not as I do. Gods showed that his integrity is sound in his own enactment’s of his law. He showed this in his ratification of bringing a peaceful solution as a sovereign God, concerning mans condemnation and redemption. He showed that he was able to be, judge, prosecutor and act as the defense of man, without having to break the laws of justice, to see that all points of the law are satisfied, according to each position that he held. As judge, he presided over the proceedings as arbitrator of seeing justice done. As prosecutor, he saw to it that all those charged with a crime, would be brought before the court proceedings to be tried. Then as the defense of the chosen, he provided the argument for those in Christ, that they were innocent of the charges, due to the fact that the charges had been properly atoned for and the issue of sin against them, had already been settled out of court, and their was no longer, merit in the case against them.
and the justifier
> So as the defense of all those who claim Christ as savior, the message is clear that all your possibilities of sin, have been properly dealt with, past, present and future. So all they that take Christ as their savior, are now free to live with and in accordance to Gods law, interacting with it and embracing it, without fear of it further condemning them in their dealings with God. There will be no ill effects of the law upon them, for having embraced the law, and even in the area of sin tripping you up, in that we are not yet perfect in the law, your learning process will not be held against. God will consider you perfect in it, because of Christ, so go ahead and try the law on for size, if it doesn’t fit the first time, keep altering yourself till it does. God won’t abandon you for the failure of yourself to fit into it, but you’ll be better off, the more you try to live healthy to the law. The point is, that there are no bad side effects from the law for you any more, only good ones. Because with Christ, one size fits all, for those who come to him for such attire as his mercy.
of the one
> The fire of Gods law, no longer burns the one with condemnation when one takes it to themselves. Because when they do come to it, because of Christ, all it does is purify all those in Christ. That is because the nature of your being a new creation, in this new body which is impervious to the laws condemnation and is then a non-consumable, in the presence of the law.
who lives
> As Jesus is the one who made it possible to declare in a legal proceeding, that adhered to perfect principles and unquestionable ethics of God and the law. Making alive those who he had sentenced to death, by commuting their death sentence to eternal life in heaven, where never a prisoner is lost. This according to his same indisputable law, that an acceptable punishment had been met by a willing intercessor, to cancel out their punishment.
because
> Fulfilling the duty required, by the statues of the law, there were simply no more efforts to be made to conquer the eternal effects of sin. That main battle was over and the only thing left was for Christ to bring all of them home, whom the Father had claimed for the son. Each one chosen as a choice prize for his glory to be shown throughout all eternity.
of Jesus’ faithfulness.
> In this, man was finally able to see a visible manifestation of God thru the work of Jesus Christ, who showed it perfectly in every manner. To which man then could be exposed to it his righteousness and still not die. Enabling him to reason with the Spirit of God and have an awareness of what was yet to come, with anticipation in the knowledge of his holiness. Knowing that it was what he did that secured us for eternity and that our eternal fate it is not dependent on us, but rest safely with him.

3:27 Where,
> Now that we know that this all came about without our help, how do we set that in perspective with everything that we now know about what took place. Where does our time and space, intersect with what God is doing, that it affects us where we are in that measurement of time. Stick with me a little, that statement clears up a little as I try to define more.
then,
> The possibility that our space in time itself is predefined, is not a suspicious doctrine. So we must assume that God did not place us here at the throw of the dice. So seeing as we were not even alive when Christ, in the Father, did all this to prove himself in all areas of the law. He did not want us present when that occurred, for the very reason that he wanted us to look back on this event for our future to unfold for us.
is boasting?
> We certainly cannot now take credit for it because we are just now figuring it all out, their certainly isn’t anything we did that would enable us to brag about being saved by Christ being crucifed. Nor could we even have the audacity to even consider such a thing, it would be thievery on our part to try to take any glory in Christ own work that saved us.
It is excluded!
> We are so far removed from the incident that took place that produced our salvation, it would be ridicules to even consider such folly, it would be like you taking credit for Noah having built the Ark and so now claiming your alive because of yourself, where’s the logic in that? There is None! God made and provided your salvation, having placed it and you, in time and space in such a way, so that it was outside the realm of reality and possibility of your own doing, intentionally. He removed that possibility from the equation, so you would have to figure it out, and arrive at the right answer, without that part of the formula available to you. So what does that leave you with?
By what principle?
> What attribute can you base this on that enables you to have done something that benefited you before you were even alive? Anything that came about before you were alive, was done for you, not by you. You can’t preexist, except thru God who knew of the expansion of time before it existed, so that he could place you in it where you could benefit from its coming, and be a recipient of it. So he sent you on ahead of it, so that he delayed time or is making it wait just to save you, let’s see you do that!
Of works?
> If salvation came about by Jesus crucified on the cross, what was your part in that, how can you declare yourself justified as an act of your own provision, when it happened on the cross by Jesus. How did you put yourself ahead of Christ in the church, when he authored the church?
No,
> The obvious answer is that you didn’t, because you did not go back in time and create his ability to be our sacrifice, then also crucify him, and raise him from the dead. Because for you to have achieved your own salvation, that is what you would have had to do.
but by the principle of faith!
> You’re not before Christ, this was done based on the attribute of faith that the Father gave to you as a free gift, it was this that was able to save you, and that was made possible before you were even alive. So it is Christ faithfulness to have done what he did, that you are trusting in. The laws of behavior, are now there for you too use as friends to support you, not condemn you.

3:28 For
> So because of that situation above in this discourse of where our salvation had its origination. We should apply the following logic as a concluding thought.
we consider
> Now that we know the truth, that because God is outside of time, he is able to be, before and after our physical life on earth. It’s not a matter of time for God, just a matter of timing, because God being righteous as he is. It is that which is the ultimate essence of what makes our justification, just, to seek anything else would be useless. Man, is like a seed made for rich dark soil, being planted in the desert, where it is destitute and starving for life. Where God then is the good rich soil that gives life, man can only come to life by living in his soil, as that is the soil for which he was created for. Only God can provide this fertile ground of life for man, else wise, we will remain barren and destitute and die a dry barren death, a worthless harvest for God to take in.
that a person
> So everyone has the same option to consider, do they remain where they are, in the desert, or go with God and dwell in the land of the good soil of his glory. You see that is why Jesus understood the importance of Gods glory, and that Gods need to glorify himself in our presence, was a necessity for life to come to us. So every person who wishes to grow and be fruitful in Gods harvest of life, need do so in and thru Gods state of glory, because that is where we are able grow roots and mature fully for him and ourselves.
is declared righteous
> So by us living in Gods soil instead of our own, God in a sense has transplanted us into his life giving soil, that will make us viable eternally thru him. He has in doing this proclaimed that we are worthy, not because we have a rich soil now, but because he has made us into worthy creatures due his transplanting us into his soil.
by faith
> Our part in that was trusting him to be able to do it for us and living within that expectation as our hope that gives in us eternal life. And as I have already made clear, that the ability itself, to even have an expectation of this, was a gift to us also. We did not transplant ourselves into his rich soil, all we did is say please, will you take me also Lord, and God did the labor that moved us into his life and eternal garden.
apart
> None of this occurred for us, based on any of the predefined laws that God gave to man, that we were able to enact for our own benefit. Christ activated the fulfillment of the law himself, for us, but we did not do anything in ourselves, that caused the law to declare us Holy and blameless. Because the law actually, had already condemned us before we were born. Because it was our seed from Adam that was fouled in the beginning, that made us born in the desert of death, when God banished us from the garden and in to the wilds.
from the works of the law.
> So none of what you did came about as a result of your efforts to obey the legalities of the written code given to us by God. He didn’t even take that into consideration, and even though if in our efforts, we are to obey the law, they would be no more than like a grain of sand, compared to that of a mountain of what the law requires. That is, even in our best efforts, they would still have been insignificant to have fulfilled the requirements of the law. Because it required an inhuman ability, a holiness, which is only done for us in Christ, as already proven.

3:29 Or
> Otherwise, one could make an argument, that God only respects those who come out of the law, those who are trusting in the law to save them, instead of Christ the Messiah.
is God the God
> So I make this case before you, and put it to you so that you are able to see and grasp the meaning of what God has done. So do you have it right in your understanding? Is God, only God to some and not to others, is God discriminatory in who he selects to love based on obedience to the law as a nation, or does call all nationalities, even the lawless to the same belief in him. Is God only going to save the ones, who say themselves that they are good, or is he going to save the ones that ask him to save them, because they now know that they need it?
of the Jews only?
> Now it is true that he came to the Jews first, that they were put in charge of the law and publicizing it out to the nations. But does that make them more Holy just because they guardians of it. If you are put in charge of an apple farm, does that make you a perfect apple or do you just now more about apples than some others?
Is he not
> Doesn’t it then make sense than, that God is not trying make us into Jews to save us, but rather, takes us all from where we are and put us where he is. Which means, that he is looking to bring in the whole harvest of souls from across the earth and not just the Jewish nation, as they had perceived themselves.
the God of the Gentiles too?
> So was God rejecting the gentiles and only accepting those who had a physical ancestry linked to Abraham, we need to ask this question based on the attitudes and actions of the Jews, cause that is what they have propagated to the gentiles. They thought thru their own false teaching, that they had the whole God thing, all sown up for themselves, and they were resting in their laurels in error of this concept.
Yes, of the Gentiles too!
> Gods intention was to make his righteousness known by the law coming to the gentiles also so they could learn too. Not to be locked away and arbitrarily given out to those deemed worthy by other men. He wanted his righteousness and his provision of salvation to be known by all creation. So all could hear and be judged based their accepting or rejecting it, as to what Christ did on the cross which made him Lord of all

3:30 Since God is one,
> So we have established that God is not divided between the Jews and the gentiles, in that there are not two Gods or one God with two faces or facets of justice. There is just one God, who is God of all creation, and it is only the means by which they came into possession of the truth that dramatically differs, but the substances of the truth itself, is identical, as is the God who revealed it to mankind.
he will
> So it is God who determine the outcome of every person, not the person. God will make himself available in the broadest possible sense, to all humanity. How or where certain men think God should apply his grace, mercy and understanding, is not relevant to God in the way God administers it.
justify the circumcised
> So it is true that the Jews who descended from Abraham will have their death sentence commuted to eternal life in Christ by the work of his redemption. The faithful Jews who were either looking forward to the Christ or have believed in Jesus, will be declared Holy by God.
by faith
> Now this came to them as guardians of the law, through their ancestry, by which they learned to propagate the message of God, with their expectation that he would save them, and that it would come to them as a provision of Christ redemption. They did this by believing in something that they had not seen, yet they trusted in it with anticipation, that it would happen, though they did not exactly when or how, except in the prophecies of the scripture.
and the uncircumcised
> Then also those who were not Jewish and did not come from the ancestry of Abraham as their forefather, they also were justified in the same way that were the Jews. They had no heritage in their ancestry, but may have had some carnal or even believing knowledge of it from encountering the Jewish people.
through faith.
> The only difference being, in that they had heard about salvation and came to the point of believing and having an expectation of being saved, through the Jews. Because it was the Jews heritage through which salvation came to all nations.

It should be noted that the different terminology used of these avenues of referring to faith, that is; "by faith" or "through faith" should not be ascribed a value, it is as though one were to say, six, or a half dozen, the value difference is not relevant, it is till the same faith as God sees it, it is just a reference point, not an attribute.

3:31 Do we then
> What effect does faith then have on the law, if it is more powerful than the law, did it conquer it. Is it at odds with the law, in that it contradicts it, or is it in league with the law and uses it power to support the concept of the law. What side should we take in this battle, or do we take sides at all. Is one right and the other wrong, or can they both be right at the same time.
nullify the law
> So knowing this, let us first consider this, do we disregard the law, and invalidate it as having any relevance as to how we live or how we equate our relationship with God. What is the point of it, that is, keeping the law, if it is beyond our grasp, and it no longer condemns us. Can we stop fearing God now and his restrictive control he placed on how we live. Is that a proper attitude for us to have towards the law?
through faith?
> As we now have in us that expectation and trust that will secure us in eternal life through Christ. Is there any reason left for us to adhere to that which held us hostage as sinners and accused us of what we were as condemned sinners, but are not any longer condemned. Has faith made the law a rusted out relic of no value, that we should discard any reference to it, like Thou Shall not kill!, is it OK for us to kill?.
Absolutely not!
> Don’t even entertain such foolishness, or listen to such fallacy. That is not why God set your free from sin, just so you could start anew at it, but not reap any of the guilt or consequences. Salvation isn’t just being saved from eternal judgment, your also being saved from your slavery to sin. His sanctification is working through you now and will your entire life, salvation was never intended as a license to kill!
Instead
> Rather we should see the law, just as we now see God, in that, we may approach it God boldly and not die from its encounter with us. We are free to experience it, just as God wants us too.
we uphold the law.
> What our intentions should be is to become Christ like, in all our attributes and overcome those sins. So you will be freed from the addictions of sin that hold you in the habit of doing them over and ever again. Living in the fear of God, as the one rescued from sin. Having the law as our ally and reinforcing it, so it has the power to produce righteousness in us. Letting your mind understand that surrendering to sin, in disrespect to God, is the same as being fearless towards God. While at the same time, paying homage to satan, by giving way to sin, thru having the fear of satan thru obedience to sin, in, indifference to God, whom you are not surrendering holiness too. So keep the law for the sake of holiness, not because of condemnation, that it no longer lords over you.
